That door was on a 4 door. We had a 1976ish Ford Thunderbird and a 78 Pontiac Gran Prix. Both were 2 door and the doors were long. That 4 door door is light by comparison.
To be fair, half that weight was cigarette ashes

Came to make this joke and should have known someone would beat me to it.
In my house as a kid the door was quite heavy. Wild how much smoke I was exposed to in the 70s.
So many memories...
Anyone else "enjoy" the wing window that allowed the driver to send 75% of their ashes outside and the rest into the back seat where we siblings wrestled, free from the inconveniences of seatbelts or child seats?
I knew. Made me a lot of friends freshman year of college, until someone started using it for porn and I closed up shop.
Ah yes, Lime. My introduction to "the pile" and spending more time choosing what to play instead of actually playing.
I found something neat at an antique store today:
This is a Capacitance Electronic Disc System movie which is basically just a more advanced electronic vinyl record. Early 80s competitor to the VHS, BetaMax, and Laser Disc that failed pretty hard. They only made the players for about 3 years and only made the discs for about 5 years and it kind of sounds like everyone involved lost money on them. Found three of them at the store and had to take some pictures and look them up. Definitely not the crème de la crème of early 80s cinema.
I have room for only one Mega Force in my life:
This is the Megaforce I remember
though iirc I preferred Axelay.
This is the only reasonable way to experience Megaforce
Almost certainly a room from Mar-a-lago.
Looks like the toilet paper is just far enough away to be awkward -- having to stand up a bit, or stretching straight forward lifting one's rear -- in either event potentially increasing "nether region" exposure.
I'm sworn to carry your burdens.
This rings a bell...
I saw that BattleTech thread too and now I want to reread some of the old BattleTech novels and watch the cartoon
Green Lake, AT on a rainy day
Clear as he could make it
To be realistic, it'd need to be 1000 times this. At least.
