NBA 2021-22 Season Catch-All

Exactly. Part of it is he has turned into a bad defender, part of it is unlucky injuries, and part of it is he is a ball hog.

I don’t even know if he’s a ball hog so much as he bought into the notion that he works best in an offense where he handles the ball and drives and kicks. I think we have a fairly big sample size that says those kinds of teams don’t do well in the playoffs.

My Raps are out, history was not made.

It was a very interesting year, can't wait to see what they cook up in the lab for next season!

Very curious to see if the Raptors would go after one of the Jazz stars if they become available. Both could fill a need. I would prefer Gobert as C is the main hole in the current roster and he'd be the perfect counter for Embiid. Gasol gave Embiid embarassing fits and I think Gobert could do the same.

No Saturday games seems like poor scheduling

Giannis doing it all today

Didn’t get to watch the first game but sounds like I didnt miss much.

The chaos at the end of this Mem-GSW game is delivering. Shame about Draymond getting ejected pretty early. Didn’t seem warranted.

Likely Giannis' worst game of the series. The fact that the Bulls were a better playoff test than the Nets speaks volumes. Looking forward to Middleton returning at some point.

An unexpected ass kicking of the Celtics? Nah, not much missed. But Shame about Draymond? Seriously? He swatted down on the head of the offensive player and followed that up by grabbing his jersey with the off hand. Oh, he tried to hold him up with that same jersey when his initial action drove him towards the court? Sure, nothing in 1992 NBA playoffs, but these days? Easy call.

When did the NBA get dumber than the NFL with review rules? They call a pathetic jump ball off the missed FT when Memphis player came in and knocked it out. And they can't replay with 10? seconds left because no one has a challenge? WTF?

Anyway, Warriors played well except for Klay blowing those FTs.

Didn’t look intentional or excessive enough to me. Plenty of people online said the same.

Looked to me like he tried take a foul and when it spun the player out he tried to help him from falling.

Ja with 47.

Think he pretty much has to do that for them to win.

Especially if Brooks is going to get himself ejected immediately...

4 points in the 2nd half of game 1. 4 points in the 2nd half of game 2.

Just retire and enjoy the strip clubs James, it's the only thing you're actually interested in anymore.

I have no idea who is going to pay him the next max contract. You assume Philly but yikes. I don't even wish that on the 76ers.

The Westbrook Harden Durant era is closing. Some might say Durant has something left but he's 34 next season. I feel like I blinked and his career flew.

I mean, Durant is still good. For Harden and Westbrook, the wheels have just completely flown off.

Yet Chris Paul seems on top of his game at 36,.37?

We really get to watch CP3 in PHX bc HOU traded him for Russ bc Harden wanted to play w/his homie & OKC thought that move put em in tank mode then CP3's old grumpy ass got a 5 seed & took HOU 7 & Presti was like hell nah he f*ckin up the lottery balls lets get Kelly Oubre in here

And yet, CP3 will never get the credit he probably deserves if he can't make a single Conference Final in his career. Dude has elevated every team he's been on.

Also, really, just end the MIA-PHI series now. It was over once Embiid's injury was announced.

Should have just let the Raptors advance. At least they are feisty.

If they get swept or lost 4-1 because Embiid misses the series or most of it, I can’t imagine Rivers keeping his job. It was incredibly bone headed to have him in that game still.

Anyone else use espn.com as their primary sports site? I’ve found it incredibly odd that the NBA playoffs are getting third billing on the mobile home page this year. Hockey playoffs first, then baseball scores, then the NBA. And I have the NBA set as my first preference.

It’s especially odd considering the NHL left ESPN for a while there. Maybe this is part of the terms to come back?

They did the same thing when they bought the soccer contract a few years back. They definitely prioritize new properties they are trying to drum up interest in.

But they run NBA games, including the entire Finals.

No games tonight argh. 2 days in the last 5. Come on

I was today years old when I learned Gary Payton II and Gary Payton, jr. are two different people.

Well at least with the MVP back and at home Sixers avoid being swept.

"We talkin' about practice" turns 20 today and boy we should all feel old.

Smart was definitely shooting. Hard foul made it tough to see the motion. Hm.

Well executed FT miss down 2 though. Just couldn't tip it in quick enough. Multiple chances.

Good game.
