Game trailers Catch All

Don't think I saw a Spice Marine trailer post-Game Awards so I shall remedy:

There was one trailer from Nintendo's indie direct that I found most interesting, but the game isn't coming out until about this time next year. Sea of Stars:

Here's the indie direct (Indie World Showcase):

EDIT: Doesn't seem like the first one is loading, but you can just watch the very beginning of the 2nd for the trailer, too.

June 24th! I look forward to being the only person here excited.

Oof. That was a bit rough. Both the animations and the voices. I don't care though, I still can't wait.

Forspoken

Got to say this game looks great. Sony exclusive though

This one just looks ridiculous in all the right ways.

Man...the colors that they showed in that trailer are just jaw dropping

Coming 2023?

Looks like Anthem meets Dino Crisis.

That Forspoken trailer has me far more excited for the game. I was originally interested but not quite sure about the overall tone of the game but this looks much more up my alley.

And Exoprimal looks like Earth Defense Force + dinosaurs. Which could be pretty amazing.

The movement in the trailer makes me think of the movement in Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse.

Ghostwire: Tokyo - 18 Minutes of Gameplay
*definitely interesting....and weird.
**but ultimately boring so I stopped watching and am watching the Forespoken trailer again.

I didn’t know I needed this in my life. The dialog alone makes this a meme paradise.

Nearly everything else screams rush job except for that Team Ninja combat… tbh this could be perfect for live streaming. Kinda excited for it.

From what I’ve heard about the game it seems like the awfulness is a lot more sinister than the cynicism and toilet humor of a Rockstar title.

Heh, yeah, I was going to take the cheap shot with "just the awfulness of the HP world?" And, oops, I guess I did.

More than that even, apparently they really steered into the antisemitic tropes in the series and even added a couple of their own. The fact that there’s an element of the series widely criticized as being a antisemitic caricature and the studio thought “yes, let’s also make them one of the main villains scheming to seize control in our game” doesn’t fill me with confidence about the game’s direction, let alone in the trailer itself they have the villain talking about stealing children which is literally one of the oldest antisemitic tropes in the world…
The former lead designer resigned after it was revealed that he ran a youtube channel filled with anti-feminism, anti-sjw videos, which likely explains a lot.

Hilarious, initially I was thinking of the overall meanness and other aspects of the HP world, which I figured wouldn't necessarily apply without JK's direct input and the change in medium, but then I delved into the dreaded discourse a bit, and discovered this, too. I was absolutely not expecting the devs to careen head on at full speed right into the dumbest or second dumbest aspects of the HP lore. Like I said, hilarious, and I retract the characterization "cheap shot," it turns that take was an absolute bullseye.
