NBA 2021-22 Season Catch-All

Is a troll real if you don't acknowledge it?

Not sure what the angle is here. The reverse Kapernick?

Pretty much, EKF did Chris Hayes podcast before calling out China, then called out LeBron for China. And then started doing the right-wing circuit attacking LeBron (as an activist for black Americans).

Now, EKF is little more than a troll that Tucker Carlson can use to bludgeon the American left, and EKF is only supported by the worst sort of people.

So, how about that Steph guy?
People are giving kudos for his 16 threes but I think the bigger item is he was 16/27 from three.
That is 59.25% from three! And like half his shots were from bonkersville...

But everyone would rather talk about Kyrieme, gruntledBron, and Ben Simmons

With Durant gone, there's no more personal drama with the Warriors. Steph and Klay are the most unassuming stars around.

Saw this today and didn't believe it, but it's true:

Russell Westbrook actually has a better FG% than Steph Curry.

(That isn't telling the whole story, of course. Steph's eFG% is .546, Russ' is .470. As someone pointed out in the comments, it's Simpsons' Paradox.)

Steph also hits his free throws...

Remember how we'd all call Ja the best "almost" dunker we've ever seen? That the dude's reel of "almost" dunks is better than anyone else's?

He finally got one.

He also did this:

Only posting this because it's incredibly smart for the NBA to embrace its YouTube creator community, there are several people out there who make good, smart, entertaining videos about basketball, or whatever sport you like, and ignoring them is something you do at your own peril in this changing media landscape.

EDIT: Seriously, he's so good.

Let me introduce you to Giannis.

Giannis is on the Warriors now !?!?

LOL, just read "most unassuming stars" and ingnored the "around" part!

Oh yeah. Include Dame Lillard in that conversation too.

The NBA has a bunch of incredibly cool dudes. Ja Morant, Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan, Nikola Jokic, Trae Young, etc.

Russell Westbrook is earning $44M this year, and he's the least efficient jump shooter IN THE ENTIRE NBA.

And it is surprising to no one! When the Lakers made that trade it made no sense, and the outcome right now was entirely predictable (and was predicted by most people). Why they didn't move him for Wall to at least get something positive out of the position and money I don't understand. I don't understand why Pelinka is still employed there, or really why he was hired in the first place. I am coming to the conclusion that Jeanie Buss is probably just a bad owner...

Well, that and the real GM really shouldn't be allowed to be a GM.

Apparently the Rockets wanted A LOT of draft pick compensation for Wall so I get the hesitancy of pulling the trigger on that particular trade.

I heard it was as low as a second round pick or even a second round pick swap. Who knows the truth though.

As @WorldWideWob so elegantly put it, the Knicks do not find new ways to lose, they invent them.

HBO's Winning Time is like if you took a basketball docudrama and made it like HBO's Peacemaker.

Yet, is an owner with a championship just two years ago. Zero Laker fandom or sympathy, but the bubble championship still counts.

Sounds like a good thing?

Can we have no more Lakers national TV games this year? The last few have been embarrassing. I turned on last night's game midway through the second quarter and they were already down like 20.

Yeah, its just very sad. There are some bright points when Bron puts up 50 but... Westbrook is such a train wreck!

The Lakers trail the Raptors 33-12 after the 1st Q. They shot 3-for-25 from the field (12%) and 0-for-13 from 3. There are still 14 more games left in the regular season after tonight.

How about we just let the Lakers end the season now?

Jazz lost to the Bucks at home for the first time since 01.

Good game but tough finish. Like 1-12 from 3 in the 4th for Utah

Okay, I feel bad even posting about it now. Westbrook's going out sad, man. You're getting clowned like this by KAT?

It's still so baffling... everyone was asking why when they got him? And everyone has been more right than we knew. One of the worst personnel moves in history.

I just don't get the stubbornness? to not adjust your game over the years. I guess his previous success + huge contract makes him think nah I'm fine.

Not sure if that's the right way to describe it though. So many other players in the league have had second and even third acts by reappearing with new skills in their tool bag. For some it's just even 'I now shoot 3s at a respectable %'.

His career has taught him personal stats is all that matters. It was evident in the MVP year in OKC. It was disgusting to watch.
Can you imagine if every team played like that? No one would watch the NBA at all.
