Request sent for Annameta

I have been playing off and on, but I can't figure out how to send a request for a guild invite.

We're full again, but you can request an invite from our alt guild while we work on leveling up again.

Hit alt-u and search for gwj or gwj alts

Is there anything more that I can do to help out the guild other than the daily "Guild Research" right now? Still trying to get a grasp on all the content and systems but want to make sure I'm being as helpful as I can.

Until we reach level 3 we're able to do a single guild quest (similar to our dailies)

This week is chopping wood and you get a random seed... There's different tiers of these and i think we get to choose the higher tiers the higher our level. From the Unil's quest screen there's a Guild table and you can accept the quest there, and it repeats. Each time you complete it rewards us with some contribution points to the guild.

Also for those that may not know the support system is setup to give back 50% of whatever you give.

There's also a guild vendor now which (NE corner in Vern) allows you to buy extra honing mats and Cube tickets once a week.

So my first character was a sharpshooter, as I like archer characters, but it was kinda…boring? Like, I felt really disconnected from the combat.

Rolled a new paladin today, FAR more fun.

Artillerist is really fun.

Iiissss it now.....

I’m really enjoying it but the only other class I’ve played was gunlancer.

I'm also maining artillerist. It's a blast!

I saw someone describe it as a black mage with grenade launchers instead of fireballs. I think that's pretty accurate.

Wow y'all weren't wrong, artillerist is indeed explosive fun.

Oh you like explosions? Have you tried Sorceress yet?

I do very much and no I've not!

I'm really liking the Berserker myself. He just blows up things in big red explosions that are really meaty and satisfying. Though my Paladin alt is also good. Have a deadeye alt but haven't played him enough to get an opinion.

Yep, did my first Abyssal Dungeon last night and that Sorcerer I got matched with was something else.

My main is a Sorc, when i pop my damage window spell and include my Ultimate I'm cycling through each spell twice and the screen wants to scream from all the flashing lights and i'm sometimes wishing i can turn off my own spell effects.

Have you tried the Photosensitive mode?

Naw it's not enough for me to go that far into it, but i've missed things on the ground during boss fights because of it more than a few times

I also turn on the white outline during battles

Holy sh*t. You guys weren't wrong.

Man, just got my second ark and I'm really losing the will to continue leveling. Such a slog now with tons of uninteresting, pointless side quests that you can't skip because they might give you attribute points. I'm literally skipping dialog as fast as I can just to grind through. Feels like it's taking forever to get to the real game...

How much longer does the leveling process take after the Mokoko island?

Took me about 30hrs to unlock the mid-endgame. I took my time though so it could be done faster. But after that it is more questing and leveling your gearscore (gs) to be at the end-endgame. Lvl 50 and starting the endgame climb is tier 1. There are 3 tiers which require you to go from 320 gs to something like 1300 gs. This requires questing thru more story to unlock things and also doing the daily raids, boss kills and island quests.

I think I'm also going to follow suit and start rapid firing the skip for dialogue. I'd been reading most of it in the hopes of having it pull me into the story more but so far no luck. I tried hard to make progress during the long weekend and nodded off both times I had some good time set aside to do my levelling.

I just skip all the dialogue. Y'all talk talk talk shuddup I wanna go kill stuff. I'm a weapon dammit just point me.

From what I’ve read, the fastest way to level is to go through the MAIN story quest only, avoid any fighting that does not serve that end, and skip all the side quests.

I suppose I can always come back later and do the side quests for kindness points or whatever, but does that stuff even matter once you’re past leveling?

Doing no side quests, you can go back and do them later for the items, you can finish the main quest around 8-12 hours, depending on how much you skip...

What's interesting about the game is that there's not much 'fat' in there. Everything you find does matter, it's just a matter of when. Some things you'll want early and others you can't use till you're in tier3.

The main thing that most people focus on are the island quests because they're a great source of resources required to hone (level up) you're gear. Progression in the game is based off of gear score and some things are gated behind gear scores

Not sure there is such a thing as being ‘past leveling’ in this game.

You can easily skip some of the earlier yellow side quests. At lvl 40+ some of them start to have decent rewards though, so seems worth it to check each of them.

Only requirement is to make sure your gear score is 250+ by the time you hit 50. Everything you get beyond that is replaced instantly when you finish the Vern quest and get 302 from doing the Chaos dungeons

Some side quests give good xp, gold, resources, upgrade materials etc. They stay relevant.
