Rainbow Six Extraction Review "Buy, Wait for Sale, Gamepass"

Horizon Forbidden West | Story Trailer

Every gaming news YouTuber everywhere is talking about this but, as always, this is a sober and fascinating conversation on the subject between Alannah Peirce and Mike Bithell.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves PS5 Tech Review: Graphics Upgrades + 30/60/120FPS Modes Tested
*I find these videos because they often say things like " you can see how this is blurrier on in fidelity mode, than if performance mode" and show two shots which look completely the same to me.

It is like a nitpickers dream

Agreed! The popularity of Digital Foundry videos is baffling to me, especially when they compare performance across systems. "If you look at the PS5 and Series X versions side by side, you'll see FPS on the Xbox drops to 118 for two seconds while driving through the long grass." Wowsers.

When it comes to performance, I care about the basics: Generally speaking, what FPS can I expect at what resolution on my platform of choice? And: Is it so broken it needs patching? Aside from that, who cares if the textures look very slightly blurry if you pause the game and squint at the screen from three inches away?

Well, DF has over a million subs on YouTube, and their videos get tens of thousands of hits, so I suppose some people care. Many people, even.

Are You Getting Any of These Top 10 Upcoming Games in February?

When have we last had a month this busy? Ironically, February 7 - March 7 of 2017 comes to mind, also featuring Horizon. (Just have to slide the window over a bit to capture BotW and Nier Automata.)

I enjoy watching the streamer Teo. He can be very inconsistent but when he’s on form and thinking tactically he has some astonishing games. I don’t generally watch any Fortnight but this was rather exciting.

Edit: I’ve added a few more

This is a fantastic video on the history of mergers and acquisitions in the video game industry.

That was unexpected.

Yeah. I wonder where the consensus will be on this game a month from now.

ELDEN RING (First Thoughts) - Happy Console Gamer

Couldn’t resist posting this. The gang, minus Troy, meeting at the DICE awards. It’s a 50/50 chance whether they talk about video games for any significant length of time though.

Edit: They do talk about game development.

A buddy of mine recently played through Dark Souls for the first time. I figured folks around here might enjoy it, as I found his to be a bit of a fresh take and quite enjoyable.

"Quelaag is an aesthetically interesting boss." Yeah, that's one way of putting it...

Great video. I love this game so very much and will never tire of intelligent discussion about it.

Just a bit of fun. Youtube served this up to me after I went on a bit of a rant against From Software's design decisions that make me not want to return to their game worlds. This made me laugh, though. Make sure sound is on.

Anyone getting one of these?

Every time I see that I wonder why I wouldn’t just buy a Miyoo Mini and stock it with WarioWare, Rhythm Tengoku and a few puzzle games.

I like the concept of this, but at the price and without backlighting I could imagine it being too limited.
