NBA 2021-22 Season Catch-All

Wow. That's a haul for Harden. It makes you wonder about other potential trades since analysts would frequently talk about straight-up trades for Simmons. Simmons really tanked his value.

All of that said, I think Simmons is a good fit for the Nets. People talk about him playing a version of Draymond at center, which great. The only problem I can see is that being in the dunker's spot means you have to be willing to... you know... dunk.

As you can imagine, the tweets are coming hard and fast.

I guess it could be win win for both teams and also complete disasters.

Perfect.

The Simmons is a perfect fit take makes sense. Then you remember the guy just quit on a team for 2/3 of a season. Sure the ceiling is high but that floor is loooooooooooooow.

Betcha Ben Simmons goes into the COVID protocol ten seconds after meeting Kyrie.

Porzingis to Washginton.

Man, I remember when we Knicks fans thought that dude was going to be it.

The Enes Freedom saga's gone exactly where you might've expected it to.

(He just got waived, so expect a very strong "CANCELED FOR MY VIEWS" victimhood angle here.)

One thing we can agree on is hopefully the "where will Simmons go" podcasts will end. It's gotten so old.

It isn't over, it is just put on hold for 18 months or so.

Absolutely savage. LMAO

That vid is amazing.

At least you have to hand it to Harden for getting sick of Kyrie's BS and getting out.

Oh totally. I don't fault Harden for wanting to get away from Kyrie. I also don't want to fault him for wanting out of Houston, even though he helped to create the mess he found himself in. I hope he can be coached in Philly and doesn't ruin Embiid's chances.

I still think it's a lot to give up if he ends up being injured, unhealthy and eventually a bad contract.

So the Athletic put Shaq at number 8 in their top 75 players and put Bird at number 7. What do you guys think? Most of Bird’s career was before my time and even though I was a Celtics fan growing up I think I would put Shaq over Bird.

Oooh, that's tough. Prime Shaq was one of the most utterly unplayable people in basketball history, and I might shade him just ahead of Larry Legend because of that. Larry was amazing, but he didn't literally bend the entire court to him like Shaq did.

Agreed. Honestly I’d put Kobe and Duncan ahead of Bird as well.

A funny scene broke out on NBA on TNT as KD snubbed Harden picking the All Star teams.

Ben Simmons is terrible. This trade will end poorly for both teams unless the picks end up being something decent for the Nets.

Ben Simmons has the least competitive drive and work ethic I’ve ever seen from a star athlete.

This is one of the replies. This is going to become a regular NBA meme I think.

I swear NBA Twitter is unstoppable.

James Hardin's look is three looks simultaneously.

Kinda comforting that the Knicks are garbage again. Keeps me on an even keel.

It marked the third time in 11 days the Knicks blew a lead of 20 points or more -- a troubling trend for a team that entered the season with high expectations.

Love it.

Why does the All Star MVP trophy look like the Fortress of Solitude?

Yeah it was a fun ending, but that trophy is ugly. Looks like a jello-mold.

If they painted it neon green, it'd look like the trophy handed out at the end of every episode of Nickelodeon's G.U.T.S.

What is going on with Twitter…people are legit excited about Ben Simmons. Did they not watch the end of every single playoff game where he’s basically a complete liability to have on the court. The only hope you have against a decent team is to not play him.

Find me one person who said EKF was a hall of fame player before the China stuff. Find me one person who thought he was a top-three guy on a team that could contend for a title?

I assumed that tweet was sarcasm, but I have no idea who that person is.

I am going with an unironic idiot.

And who the f*ck uses the word "thalassophile"?

Sports reference actually has a HoF predictor based on career stats that says 0.0% for him.

But also has he ever made the all star team? Looks like he only had 2 seasons above 15ppg.
