NFL 2021: The playoffs thread

Three pass plays, three nowhere to goes. Those plays looked awful.

I think you mean 6... the drive before was total sh*t too.

And the 2 runs before that actually.

At least Mina Kimes was right and Jeff Garcia can go to hell

Imagine if someone told you three years ago that a Super Bowl would feature the Cincinnati Bengals against Matthew Stafford's team.

It looked like he was trying to do his best Mahomes/Allen/Burrow impression but remembered he's actually Jimmy.

Jags hire John McDaniel.

Trent Baalke still GM.

Mac Jones is going to Pro Bowl.

No trolling on that one.

Also can we please have the Super Manning Bros. replace the Buck Aiken variety hour

On the bright side, I am hoping the G Funk halftime show starts with California Love and just does it on a loop for 15 minutes with Snoop/Em/Mary J volleying the 2Pac stanzas.

Niners fans would've preferred him to try a Trent Dilfer impression.

Surprised there wasn't more mention here of Jaquiski Tartt's all-timer drop.

As a Bengals fan (distant) of nearly 40 years standing, can I just say

"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH".

Thank you.

*Legion* said it all, right when it happened.

That dropped INT is going to be the death of the Niners.

At the time, I was sitting on the couch with my wife. When I facepalmed she asked why, and I said "I just watched the niners hand the game to LA".

So, who in here betted the Bengals-Rams SB and is now rich?

Nobody. Literally nobody.

I'm starting to think that Kyle Shanahan's next contract should include a clause that says if he's ahead in the 4th quarter of the football game, he just hands his headset and call sheet to somebody else and leaves the stadium.

I don't recall seeing this mentioned here but the Vikings hired Kwesi Adofo-Mensah as GM (from the Browns front office). He's an analytics guy from Princeton who is a PoC.

If this sounds familiar it should because Andrew Berry, the Browns GM, is a PoC and from Haaavard.

The through line on Adofo-Mensah is Princeton -> Wall Street -> Paraag Marathe -> Andrew Berry.

(Ryan Poles, the Bears GM, is also a PoC.)

I don't know about KAM specifically, but based on the front office recently I think he is a good hire. As long as he didn't have anything to do with drafting Baker over Allen.

Time to take this discussion over to the Super Bowl thread.

Wow. If Mahommes had thrown one fewer completion, his second half passer rating would be less than the square root of his first half.
