NFL 2021: The playoffs thread

We here. LFG

I will forever associate LFG to "looking for group", not "let's f'ing go".

Well, that's an interesting start...

I'm glad Gumbie had a nice unobstructed view for that.

Defense says send help ☹️

Crazy start. Titans defense doing good to hold for FGs

Terrible quarter but 1 TD and they can lead.

I feel like I would've challenged the 2pt attempt. Probably still not in but 2 points in a close game is worth a TO for a 40-60% chance you get it, right?

13 seconds left, no timeouts, need to get up the field. Cannot think of a single reason they didn't just run a QB draw, seems like a play call with zero potential negative consequences.

I don't ever watch Bengals football, so I didn't realize that Joe Mixon is out there running around in Corey Dillon's jersey number, looking like a Dillon clone.

Dillon was 6-1, 225lbs, Mixon's listed as 6-1, 220lbs.

Titans sure wish they had 8 now.

Seesaw sequence there!

Tannehill is Jimmy Garoppolo but with a cake walk AFC South schedule. Time for the national sports media to stop pretending he's more than that.

Well, that was a pretty good throw by Jimmy Tannehill.

That's what makes him a Jimmy. They do that just often enough. If they always sucked, they'd be Darnold and you could write them off and move on.

Foreman looks annoyingly similar to Derrick Henry at a glance.

Frankly, it's great gameplanning.

Weird how long this game has gone without it occurring to the Cincinnati offensive line that they should consider blocking.

Oh gosh and/or golly.

No wonder Titans weren't in a hurry to pass.

Condolences Gumbie.

Oof, sorry Gumbie. That was a tough loss.

Garoppolo has only thrown 3 INTs once in a game, and not in the playoffs. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Poor Gumbie.

Cincy's O-line looked real bad. It is hard to see how they move on after this.

Part of me wishes the Bengals had lost just because anybody who settles for a 50+ yard FG when they've got a timeout in their pocket and time to get a few more chunks of yards kind of deserves to lose, but they are a darn fun team to watch, so I'm now pulling for them to lose in the Super Bowl.

Get sacked 9 times and still win.

I bet Burrow gets sacked on the way to the locker room. And probably twice more on the bus to the airport.

Wow, what a game! Three more close ones just like that, please and thank you.

Get sacked 9 times and survive also. There was one I was wincing that Joe did his knee again.

Bahktiari out. Ugh.

Supposedly the 49ers secondary is also pretty terrible.

It was. Emmanuel Moseley was hurt and Josh Norman was terrible. Rookie Ambry Thomas started for Moseley and was awful. But Moseley got healthy and came back, and the rookie has started playing better each week, and finally earned an actual non-injury-replacement starting job and sent Norman to the bench.

The secondary that the 49ers had in November would have been shredded by Stafford and Dak these past two weeks. It's still scary depending so much on a 3rd round rookie that's only started playing well the past 4 games. And these cornerbacks don't elevate the Niners secondary to good, just brings it up from dumpster fire to mediocre.

Well, Ambry Thomas is out with a knee injury. So is their other rookie corner, Deommodore Lenoir.

So much for mediocre. Welcome back, dumpster fire.

Well, my #2 team lost to #3. Maybe my #5 can upset #6?

Well, sorry Gumbie. DL did what they needed, but Burrow + Chase is tough to stop. The fact the Tits got to the playoffs after being so banged up is nuts. Heck, another week or two to rest would've maybe made Henry more of a factor.

That Burrow will be able to walk tomorrow is also nuts. Poor guy.

Titans also could have kicked 52 yard FG with 9 min left and instead got stuffed. Seems like a bad call in hindsight. Also since they couldn't get 1 yard multiple times tonight...
