Shouldn't this be in the dad jokes thread?

Well maybe editing that last line.

My wife used to be a roadie. Between the vocabulary and the bad back that left her with, our daughter is going to think "f*ck" is just something you say when you sneeze...

"Change your sheets before you go out for a night on the town. It's the best give you can give your drunk self"

Wise words.

Lol i ate so many shawerma in Russia made by that guy's clone, with similar experiences.

All gold, except the advice to change your sheets is entirely backwards.

You change them AFTER your drunk idiot self has slathered them with garlic sauce and sweated pure kebab grease into them.

That's a gift to your sober self, not your drunk self.

Look, my drunk self doesn't give two craps about clean sheets. Get him something appropriate, like a bucket to vomit into, or a traffic cone to use as headwear.

Hey, Wellington needs that! It's cold in Glasgow these days...

I may have tried to find this for Mrs. Iso for Valentine’s Day.

Turkish Delight is amazing, and a number of companies will ship it fresh to you from Istanbul and environs. You can even get them through Amazon! For us, it's a once or twice a year treat...

In Greece, or around Greeks, be very sure to refer to this as "loukoumia". Despite C.S. Lewis, *nobody* around here wants this called Turkish Delight. (see also, "I'll have a Greek coffee.")

Also, I don't like loukoumia.

Oh, I get it. I think the Turks call it "Lokum". I love the stuff. We get the fancy kind, stuffed with nuts and crunchies and rolled in nuts and crunchies, in various flavors. Heaven.

But I get the whole Greece/Turkey thing, and the fact that Turkish Delight is definitely a Western term now used for marketing to Europe and the States.

Liberty Orchards makes excellent locoum

Oh yes indeed! With fruit bases. We've had that too, for holidays. Tangy and sweet.

Wait... that's been an upper-case "i" this whole time?

Up To Isomorphism, yeah. What else could it be?

Basically, he's both a Pentagon and a Pentangle. But not at the same time.

I always saw it as a lower case "L." I'm not really in the habit of parsing names for meaning, despite the amount of time I spend online.

Yeah, that's where my OCD comes in I guess. Besides, how many people would look at that and say "Oh, sure, Isomorphism, he's vibrating between two forms" or the like.

l think some of the blame goes to the font. Don't get me wrong, l generally Iike the font but the I vs. l thing is a thing.

I always thought it was some kind of Tolstoy reference.

Yep.

How you read his name probably depends on how many math classes you've taken.
