Touche.

38 available on scholarship players and a WR playing QB.

Congrats to LSU for even showing up.

Bowl Viewership:

Orange Bowl College Football Playoff semifinal (Georgia 34, Michigan 11) — 17.2 million.
Rose Bowl (Ohio State 48, Utah 45) — 16.6 million.
Cotton Bowl College Football Playoff semifinal (Alabama 27, Cincinnati 6) — 16.6 million.

Sugar Bowl (Baylor 21, Ole Miss 7) — 9.8 million.
Fiesta Bowl (Oklahoma State 37, Notre Dame 35) — 8 million.
Peach Bowl (Michigan State 31, Pittsburgh 21) — 7.6 million.

I know its popular for the non-Pac-12 folks in here (ie. everyone else) to poopoo the traditional bowl matchups, but as seen above, one particular traditional bowl still matters.

Also, congrats to the SEC for losing as many Bowl Games as the Pac-12 (will actually be +1 after the 10th )

1.62 million for the PUBG Mobile New Mexico Bowl + another 10 million people playing PUBG Mobile at the time.

lol

Congratulations to NDSU for winning a true college football playoff.

Game day.

Mood:

I'd've gone with the "Men sh*t themselves when they die" clip, but to each their own.

If only Dawgnation had the drunken confidence of Robert Baratheon.

I'm glad that I have reached a point in my life that my mental well being is not overly impacted by the fortunes of my chosen sports team. I'll be bummed if the Dawgs lose and probably a little obnoxious around these parts if we win, but I'm definitely in the stage of life where the sun will still come up tomorrow either way.

Approaching 50, having a fourth grader and (waves hands all around) the world's much bigger problems will do that for ya.

I do think that I will actually skip watching the game tonight and binge the current season of The Expanse instead, with the occasional peaks at my phone around 11. I can't unsee Aaron Murray to Chris Conley or 2nd and 26 and have never seen either of those replays again. No need to add any more video files to my brain's trash bin.

Anyways, good luck to Grump and the mantas, if y'all win, y'all will be that much closer to completing your punch card.

Good decision, Badferret, 'cause Georgia appears to be doomed:

Good luck to your Dawgs anyway. I always root for the rebels against the Death Star.

This feels more like in TIE Fighter rooting for Admiral Zaarin the other imperial, than actual rebels.

More like if Thrawn was challenging Tarkin. No matter who wins, Palpatine and Vader are still in charge.

There's more going on in the Katy Perry video than in the game so far.

Hey you guys.... I think my team just won.

Nice pick 6 to seal it

I'm sure Stetson will lock up movie rights to his life story in the very near future, but this year was always about our defense! And Kelee Ringo and his mom who is battling cancer, is also a great story.

Congrats Badferret!

It had to happen eventually

The actress has been selling Cameos ahead of the game. I don't know how much she made before the game, but she will rake in as much as she wants now.

Congrats, now can we have our head coach please? He's got recruiting to do.

He's all yours, and I think he will (and hope) do a good job for you guys. Looking forward to some wars between the Ducks and the Trojans in the upcoming years.

And hey, the Dawgs get a quick reunion with Lanning on Sept. 3.

Congrats to JT Daniels btw.. couldn't beat Cal, but wins national championships outside of the Pac-12.

Thrawn won. Still keeping NDSU as the header.

The bigger news in here is Oregon (Lanning) hired The Great Traitor Tosh Lupoi to be his defensive coordinator. I have no clue if he actually knows Xs and Os but he is one of the best recruiters in college football. In case you didn't know, Cal had lined up one of the best recruiting classes in 2012, including NFL players Shaq Thompson and Arik Armstead. After having commitments from both of those, he then left for Washington taking Thompson with him and Armstead jumped ship to Oregon. He was investigated for some recruiting improrprieties at UW that were ultimately dismissed and not too long ago there was an article about Alabama recruiting and "bag-men" that I'm sure we all read. Nothing was going to come of that in SEC country though with Bama winning national championships. After a few lackluster years in the NFL, he has now found his way back to the Pac-12 and the richest school on this coast as far as resources go.
