NFL 2021: The Week 18 (!!!) thread

Giants have 10 net passing yards at the half. They're now at a cool ZERO net passing yards the last 6 quarters combined, but no, they totally aren't a clown organization and everyone wants to come play for them.

Broncos fire Fangio.

Why couldn't they have done this last year, when the Niners needed a DC?

DeMeco Ryans has done too well to lose his job, but man would I want Fangio. Shanahan wanted him when he first got to SF.

Yeah 3rd best defense in the league would be nice

I'm pulling for the Jags this week bc of the MAXIMUM CHAOS factor. If the Colts lose, we could get a Chargers-Raiders Kneeldown Bowl. (A tie means both teams go to the playoffs.)

Make it happen, Jags!

Just open the door for the Ravens, however small.

Still 3-3 Ravens Steelers. It's a messy game with 4 turnovers and lots of 3 and outs.

Ravens have a million injuries. Not sure what Steelers excuse is for sucking.

How anyone in that org has a job come tomorrow...

TD Jags. 23-3. Oh boy

Only clown show going on in Jacksonville is what the visiting team's doing on the field.

Cleveland went for it on 4th and goal at the 2 up 14-10 instead of going up 7.

Cincy ball, now with a chance to lead instead of tie. Hm.

I don't think the Browns believe the Bengals' backups are capable of scoring more points. An 11-point lead would truly have put the game out of reach.

Colts just got stuffed at the goal line on 4th down... ha.

Hahaha just saw that highlight. Wow.

Indy stuffed on 4th and goal. They're running out of chances.

Meanwhile, the Lions are still up on the Packers, though only by 2. If the Lions win, the Jags will maintain the #1 overall pick even if they beat Indy. Winning and the Lions losing, though, hands #1 to Detroit.

Colts fail on 4th down again thanks to Parris Campbell (aka one of the boat anchors on my dynasty roster) not hanging onto a deep ball that Wentz put right on him.

That's not the dagger, but it's awfully closer to the dagger.

Ravens really needed 3 instead of that Huntley INT. Would feel much more comfortable up 7 with Steelers driving.

Lions down by 3 but with the ball at the Packers 14 at the 2-minute warning.

COME ON DETROIT, YIELD THAT #1 PICK TO THE JAGS

EDIT: TOUCHDOWN DETROIT BUT YOU SCORED TOO FAST! Put it in on the 1st play after the 2-minute warning. Oh god COME ON LIONS DEFENSE CRUSH QAARON

Maybe the funniest fact about the Colts-Jags game is that the Colts haven't won in Jax since 2014.

I'm sure Legion remembers the 2018 game in which someone named Cody Kessler outdueled Andrew Luck in a barnburner that finished (check notes) 6-0.

LIONS PICK OFF JORDAN LOVE!

Here's something totally bonkers: If the Colts lose to the Jaguars Sunday, the Raiders and Chargers would both get in with a tie. Literally, there would be no motivation for either team to do anything other than kneel it out 15 times each.

The absolute funniest outcome would be if the Chargers and Raiders both try to win but make it to overtime and genuinely can’t score and have to prove it wasn’t intentional

Ravens with 38 seconds to mount so sort of drive and win with a FG.

OMG IT'S HAPPENING

LIONS PICK OFF LOVE AGAIN FOR THE WIN

JAGS KNEELING DOWN FOR THE WIN

WIN AND STILL PICK #1

Nothing like another perfectly thrown "not Hollywood" Brown drop.

Yeah it was a good defensive play but it was a perfect throw that he had two hands caught and couldn't secure. Dammit.

WEEK 18: MAXIMUM CHAOS continues: Jags win (which means Colts lose), Lions win, Steelers-Ravens going into OT

Congrats to the Jags, btw. They looked great today.

Twitter reporters at the game seem to indicate the Niners may have the crowd advantage on the road today.

I don't watch a lot of football but this Huntley fellow is not good.

SoFi is blanketed red every time the Niners come.

The only team with more of a homefield advantage there is the Raiders.

He's had his moments, but there's likely enough tape on him now that D's know what to do.

Which is pass rush, really.

The Ravens' weakness this season.

Just don't let TJ Watt break the record against you.

Goodell's nightmare scenario still has a chance of happening tonight.

Dang. Really wanted Pitt and Baltimore to tie there so they both were out

6 losses by a combined 11 points. What a brutal season for the Ravens

Are we still saying Jones for Rookie of the Year?
