NFL 2021: The Week 15 thread

More bad injury news for the Bucs: Lavonte David will miss the rest of the season but maybe not the playoffs.

That's a brutal loss. I'm starting to think the Bucs might not be inevitable after all.

The Bucs had ludicrously good injury luck last year, and IIRC FO had them with the lowest Adjusted Games Lost by a pretty healthy margin. On a team that brought in a bunch of older veterans to make a run, that's unlikely to happen for the one year, let alone two in a row, so, well, we're regressing to the mean pretty spectacularly at this point. The fact the injury hammer has fallen so hard on Godwin, Evans, and David sucks in particular, because they've been around for quite a while and, well, they're not dicks. AB getting hurt is satisfying for everyone.

The Bucs are going to limp into the playoffs, and the only chance they have is if guys like Evans, David, and Fournette can actually play at a reasonably close approximation of full speed. I am curious to see the comparison in AGL from last year to this and whether it represents a record in FO's stats.

In related Bucs news, the rumor out of Charlotte is that HEY DARNOLD might play some Sunday against TB.

That said, Matt Fool said that he was going to platoon his QBs against the Bills on Sunday, and I'm pretty sure he kept PJ Walker locked up on the team bus during the game.

I'm honestly not sure it matters who plays QB for the Panthers. All three of those dudes are just as likely to throw baffling interceptions in between sacks.

Packers returned to the mean injury wise also this year. It's a small miracle they have plugged holes so well.

Last year they were cruising until the Bahktiari injury.

This year key people went down early or just didn't come back (Bahktiari again).

Packers might peak at the right time but really need that Bye. Bahktiari, Jaire are close. Zadarius is a wild card. Then Turner + Myers on the line. Also Randall Cobb which as a depth WR option helps.

So the Gator Bowl (held in Jacksonville) is about to be canceled because Texas A&M has the cooties and won't play.

Too bad they got rid of their great-in-college coach so soon, huh.

How would losing the Gator Bowl boost their confidence?

Everyone on this thread was thinking it, no? It looked like Enix had that gif queued up, just waiting for someone to take the bait.

Funny thing is that our local news outlet (nj.com) is speculating that Rutgers might get a last-second Gator Bowl bid, despite being a 5-7 team.
