NBA 2021-22 Season Catch-All

Cannot wait for the Christmas Day games. Gonna be fans playing H-O-R-S-E at this rate.

Expected, unfortunately.

There have been lots of funny memes showing starting lineups and it’s like Lance Stepenson and stuff like that.

As someone said on Twitter, Frank Gore and Deron Williamson were on PPV boxing Saturday, when both of them probably could've been on a team this weekend.

Lot of G-League callups. But some games in danger of postponement or cancellation anyway. Merry Christmas.

Joe Johnson A.) Played B.) Scored tonight.

I am all the way in on the COVID-replacement player era of the NBA. Someone call Raymond Felton, I'm here to see all of my favorites "not actually very good" NBA players from 2003-2016 come back.

Cuttino Mobley rubbing his hands and licking his lips.

Calling a shot here: Al Jefferson comeback.

Where is Vince Carter?

Too late for Ray Allen? Come back and chase that record. Push Steph. Haha.

This is genius.

I mean, why not? He was still a viable rotation player when he retired. If Joe Johnson can, Vince can.

The Lakers are so, so bad.

Considering the names involved, yeah… everyone else in the world instantly knew trading for Westbrook was a terrible move. I can’t imagine what whoever did that was thinking.

Warriors are gonna be a P-R-O-B-L-E-M.

Renewed momentum for creation of in-season NBA tournament, sources said

Of all the American sports, I feel like basketball would work best with a soccer-style Cup competition happening during the season. Keep the rounds short, or make them one-and-done, and this could be appointment viewing.

The in-season tournament seems like a glorified Emirates Cup to me.

A big part of the appeal of Cup competitions in soccer is you see teams from different leagues playing each other.

There's nothing novel about Toronto playing Washington for the 4th time.

Why would fans care about it?

I don’t understand why ESPN / ABC pay so much for TV rights for the NBA and then rarely show the games. Reportedly paying $1.4 billion to only show about 100 games for the season. Do they really get $14 million in revenue per game or is it more just paying to keep it away from competitors? Whatever it is I wish they broadcast more games.

Yeah it was nice having 3 or 4 games on Christmas day on the antenna. Seems like they should do that every Saturday from Dec-April after college football is over.

Truly amazing to see how crap he is when he's not getting calls.

I appear to have been engaged in hateration and/or holleration in this dancery.

EDIT:

I'm not really into things because of all the COVID absences wrecking havoc with things but.

1) Ja Morant with some decent outside shooting added to his game is scary. Dude is so fun to watch.

2) Love seeing DeMar end up in a great situation for him in Chicago and take yet another step forward, even at his age. I thought that sign-and-trade as not a good move for Chicago but things are going so great for them and he's been amazing.

Lots of contracts look good in the first year, let's see how it looks in the third... That said I am happy DeRozan is doing well, he is one of the players I wish good things for.

DeMar is a great dude and I want all the success in the world for him. Still beloved by Raptors fans.

Rudy Golbert has entered health and safety protocols. No, this isn't a post from 2020.

Dammit

Much bing, very bong.

Seems like an innocent mistake that was unfortunately pretty bad because of circumstances the announcer didn't know about. Probably should have prepped for the game better.
