Trailer Catch All

For Auld Lang Syne — Official Trailer

Looking forward to this movie. This video isn't really a trailer but I liked it.

The Matrix Resurrections – Deja Vú

I haven't clicked on that trailer yet and I've successfully avoided spoilers but how on earth does that franchise have something more to offer while also retaining the original trilogy?

I mean, if they retcon it all, I guess, but otherwise they were pretty concrete about, "shrug emoji" as the purpose of the series. There's literally nothing else to say.

...

...

I'll be there Day One, of course, because I'm old and I want to go back to March, 1999.

As an example, the Matrix MMO story started out immediately after the trilogy. Just because everyone had an option didn't mean everyone wanted to leave the "comfort" of the Matrix. So, the Matrix still existed which meant there were still factions inside of it.

Oh, I totally get that there were stories that could be explored for brand new characters in side mediums. I've just seen the Neo story front to back so I am struggling to understand what the original creator thinks they are going to present that I will leave the theater with the thought of, "These four movies, taken together, have something interesting to say about the human condition, aside from 'William Gibson was on to something, buy toys.'"

I want to believe!

Oh yeah.

I didn't mind Cruise in the role, but definitely time to shake it up, and this looks good.

Reacher's described as "bigfoot" and his fists are said to be the size of "supermarket chickens" and "Thanksgiving turkeys".

Cruise brought charisma to the role but he was nothing like Jack Reacher.

This new guy looks like Jack Reacher but seems lacking in the charisma department. But I'll give him a chance.

Is Reacher really supposed to have charisma? He's kinda the strong, silent type, right? Maybe sort of like Cavill's Geralt, lots of grunts and 1000-yd stares and maybe a chuckle when some bad guy thinks he's going to stop him?

At least, this is what I understand from my superfan wife.

Not especially, but if they want people to watch the show....

I guess now we know why (Spoilers for DC's Titans)...

Spoiler:

... Hawk was killed off in Season 3.

The whole point is that he looks like a meathead and uses the flawed assumptions of others against them, but is very intelligent.

It looks like they're doing Killing Floor pretty closely. It's nice to see the actor who played the cop from iZombie getting more work.

Ummm, I saw him without his shirt off in that, I think that was enough charisma for me to watch at LEAST one episode.

Loved the spider verse trailer, very sad to see October 2022. That’s a long time. Oh well, the part one moniker makes me excited to know there will be another one

A new season of Raised By Wolves! Yay!!!

Nope. It's a trap.

Yeah I'm gonna have to hear the most absurdly glowing reviews imaginable before I give that show a second chance

I'll keep watching for those moments when all the potential of the below smashes together into this weird cheese ball of goop:

Aliens
Blade Runner
Ready Player One
Saul on the road to Damascus
The Israelites after Pharaoh
The Middle Ages
Assassin's Creed
Terminator
Ghost in the Shell
Halo

But I'm not going to expect it to be coherent. Just some fun imagery and interesting snippets of takes.

And Travis Fimmel has surprisingly grown on me as a hand-me-down Brad Pitt.

I unironically love it, stupid flying snake and all. It feels like a respectful take on the gonzo 60s and 70s pulp sci-fi that I grew up reading.

I need to go on blackout for this movie from here out. I want to go see it with my best friend (we saw the first one together first showing of opening day because we had to be at work that afternoon and saw the other two at midnight showings), but it may be months until we are able to do it.

Almost not worth posting. Statham used to be dumb fun but now he just seems dumb

Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre

The only problem with that trailer was they showed too much. I liked it a lot.

Its got Hugh Grant and Aubrey Plaza though...
Cary Elwes and...
edit: and its Guy Ritchie
