NFL 2021: The Week 13 thread

36.9 passer rating for Taysom.

This is what I tuned in for.

OMG pick 6

TAYSOM INT #4 PICK SIX TO A 300 POUND DEFENSIVE LINEMAN

THIS IS WHAT I TUNED IN FOR

A game-killing pick six in the 4th? Guys, that's not an interception, that's a way for Taysom to honor his buddy Jameis.

DAMN, Dallas dropped would-be INT #5.

And now Taysom "throws" a 70 yard TD by completing a 3 yard drag route.

A true Thursday Night Football classic, ladies and gentlemen.

Ah that was great. At least the Saints get to blame it on Taysom's finger. Denial remains intact!

I honestly think the quality of American football would improve if we had a relegation system like the brits do in premier league.

What, how can Hill throw four ints and lose? I thought that four interceptions was some sort of alternate win condition?

#brownsproblems

lol, Taysom still got my fantasy team 25 points even with the 4 picks.

Does New Orleans not have any fans?

The crowd was more pumped at the apparently fumble recovery by Dallas, and hardly reacted when the call was overturned and the Saints got the ball back.

I hate-watched the first half only to see Talcum throw a couple of (not sarcastic!) decent passes. And then I saw him try to throw the ball out of bounds only to aim it right at Trevon Diggs. It could a couple of throws, but he finally threw a pick.

Sorry I missed the second half. That would have been fun.

Right to him! And I haven't seen such poor effort on a tackle since Teddy B a few weeks back on his Pick 6. Saints were down just 10 before that pick. Gotta sell out to keep the game close!

As for the crowd, the Cowboys can legit claim a four- or five-state fan base, maybe more. (Cardinals games are decidedly pro-Cowboys too.) Plus Saints fandom isn't as strong as it is in a lot of places. They stayed away in droves during the Aints Era, so it's baked into their DNA to tune out when the team is bad. Like it is now.

* watches Carlos Watkins pick 6 again *

Ahhhhhh ....

I hate you right now

If we had this, the Jaguars would have long ago ceased to be an NFL team, and I could have been free.

No, you'd be more conflicted as they would play Fresno State once a year.

Take my Like and shut the f**k up.

This dovetails with the last talk about expansion teams we had a few weeks ago. More expansion teams means more garbage teams.

If every team is garbage, are any teams really garbage?

Minshew starting for the birds today against the Jets...

Is it possible a 6rh round QB will outperform a 2nd overall pick today?

Probably.

Probably.

Hard to tell, since so far neither team's defense has shown up for the game.

At least the Jets are Jetsing - they are 0 for 2 on PATs.

Minshew is 8-of-8 for 125 yards and 2 TDs.

Wilson is 11-of-13 for 103 yards and 2 TDs.

We're watching the next QB generation blossom before our eyes.

Or that.

First 6 drives (still 4:30 left in the first half):
NYJ: 7 plays, 21 yards, TD
PHL: 8 plays, 75 yards, TD
NYJ: 14 plays, 63 yards, TD
PHL: 10 plays, 69 yards, TD
NYJ: 11 plays, 75 yards, TD
PHL: 11 plays, 79 yards, TD

Iggles up by 3 because Jets are still Jetsing, 0 for 3 on PAT (two missed kicks, one missed 2 point attempt)

Justin Jefferson making faces after Qirk Cousins errant throws for the second straight week.

Lions winning 17-6.

Lions still up but Goff doing his best to change that.

Yep.

Yep.

That play call was awful too. It wasn't even 4th and 1, it was 4th and about 1 inch. A QB sneak has a success rate of "basically every time" from that distance.

But asking Goff to roll out and make a play... bad choice.

LIONS WIN!!! JARED GOAT WITH THE LAST SECOND TD PASS!!!

Vikes left them too much time in the form of... *checks notes* ... a second.

FREEZING COLD TAKE

GOFF LEADS THE COMEBACK DRIVE TO WIN

Minshew puts the Eagles into wildcard position.

Minshew > Hurts

Minshew > Wilson

Minshew > Jaguar Jesus
