Think that's bad, imagine being on the losing side. Your defense gets a million turnovers and allows 16 points and you lose because... checks notes...

Your QB can't complete a pass.

And you can't play your serviceable backup because...

Insurance commercials.

Yeah. I was definitely thinking that Keenum would have beaten us. I doubt that the Browns will play that same gameplan in two weeks.

That perfectly sums up Tampa during the last few years of Tony Dungy's reign with Dilfer as the QB. (That's Frenso State standout Trent Dilfer if anyone is keeping track.)

Here is the byline for 1999 game 1 TB vs. NY Giants -

Quarterback Trent Dilfer threw three interceptions (2 returned for touchdowns), and lost one fumble in a pitiful individual performance against the New York Giants. Despite the Buccaneer defense holding the Giants to only 91 yards passing, 28 yards rushing, and only 4 first downs, the Giants scored 17 points off of turnovers. Coach Tony Dungy pulled Dilfer in favor of Eric Zeier, who did not fare well either.

Even though I am a Ravens fan, I have to say I cannot not love Myles Garrett. This dude is all class.

Translation: "Our defense needs to score to win games."

Yikes.

Also, class? Lol I like Myles, but he'll forever be known as the guy who concussed someone with his helmet.

He gets a pass for that. Mason Rudolf is a no talent douchenozzle.

Fresno State superstar, champion of both the Freedom Bowl and Super Bowl.

the Freedom Bowl

Sounds like the name a screenwriter would make up for a TV show, like the "Freedom Bowl, presented by Waystar Royco."

The Freedom Bowl had a long and proud tradition of matching up WAC teams with Pac-12 teams that thought themselves above such a matchup.

Didn't quite work out that way, did it USC?

Four weeks ago, Von Miller, in his words, "went to sleep 4-4 and woke up 7-1".

The records of those two teams are now 6-5 and 7-4, thanks to Teddy-better-than-Taysom and the Broncos going 2-1, while the Rams have dropped 3 straight.

The Rams' losing streak will get put to the test this week, with the team playing host to the Jaguars. Should be the first game in SoFi history where the home team actually has a home crowd advantage... or at least a crowd of neutral fans.

As much as I want the Urban Blight to lose out, the Rams losing to the Jaguars would be too delicious to pass up.

Christian McCaffery back on IR, out for season. So, uh, that Panthers optimism appears to have had a bit of a short shelf life.

If there was an outside chance that he would be able to medically come back this season, would it be possible to make him officially a healthy scratch (taking up a roster spot) just to keep his eligibility open or is that verboten?

Technically he wouldn't be a healthy scratch, but they could keep him active and designate him Out on the injury report every week. But for a team that's unlikely to be heading to the playoffs, there's not much incentive to do so.

The Panthers remaining schedule is Falcons, Bills, Saints, and Bucs twice. That would be rough with a healthy McCaffery and a real QB, let alone whatever is happening now.

Me in the Week 6 thread:

[Spencer] Rattler has to rebuild his 1st round resume, with either a hell of a late season comeback, or a transfer and a do-over elsewhere next year.

Today, Rattler entered his name into the transfer portal. You can cross him off your 2022 draft boards.

Man, COVID reports today are getting too numerous to keep track of. Mike McCarthy and a couple other Cowobys coaches, TJ Watt, Kevin Byard.

Stafford vs. GB, SF, CHI: 1-2
Goff vs. GB, SF, CHI: 0-4

1 Chicago Bears win is the difference... congrats? Obviously in Fantasy Football stafford is doing a lot better. But keep thinking the problem in LA was Goff.

Who?

How often is the score 9-9 with both teams having a touchdown?

Welcome to the eventual future of the Scorigami Twitter account.

This is really annoying because the 3-8 Jets hold the 3-8 Seahawks' 1st round pick next year... ah, it's ok, they'll blow it anyway.

Man, can't believe no one has been fired yet. Head coach, I mean.

CB Donte Jackson went on IR too. My optimism for the Panthers' season is now down with my opinion of Matt Rhule's coaching ability. Oh, well. It was a nice fun sprint.

Not for lack of trying on Urban's part.

In 3 weeks, the Jags play against the Texans, which may very well be a Thunderdome situation. Either David Culley loses to a (likely) 2-11 Jaguars team, or Urban Meyer loses to a (likely) 2-11 Texans team. Either way, interim head coaching candidates better be getting their stuff in order for the aftermath of that game.

Does that guy who used to coach that team that used to be in Oakland not count?

Wasn't fired, technically. And it wasn't due to his team's performance that he came to no longer be coach.

Mac Jones has filed a trademark for "MJ 10".

Do with that what you will.

Internet commenters have rightly pointed out that Mac-10 was right there for the taking.

Taysom is back to rescue my Dynasty team and lead me to the title like last year
