NFL 2021: The Week 12 thread

Days like this I kind of miss having Sunday Ticket, because I always liked putting a terrible game on the second TV. Would it have been Jets-Texans or Falcons-Jaguars? Either of those could very much be entertainingly awful.

I assure you, Jags games have been everything except entertaining this year. Except for the Josh Allen Bowl.

Zach Wilson threw a butt-erception. The Jets Thanksgiving magic lives on.

It's a chilly day in Jacksonville, and the broadcast showed that the only people in the pools at the stadium are kids, huddled together trying to stay warm without getting out of the water.

That is a perfect encapsulation of being a Jaguars fan. Spending Sundays giving yourself pain and discomfort when you could just get out of the f*cking pool.

As I typed this, a Jag jumped offside on 4th and 2 when the Falcons were about to punt from out on their own endzone.

Broadcast also stated that the Jags have been losing at some point in 40 straight games.

Fat Randy just had two of the purest doinks I've ever heard on a football field. Credit to the audio crew. He basically accounts for the Pats' 4 point lead right now.

Also describes being a Jaguars player this season.

I know I should be strategically rooting for the Steelers but I am definitely enjoying watching the Bengals beat their brakes off.

LOL Mac Jones running in the end zone celebrating because the thought he had the 1st down but he was 3yds short.

Atlanta playing conservative and staying out of scoring position so that they don't go up 28-3.

Cowards.

Wondering why CBS in North Carolina hasn't found a better game. Bengals have won this. Let me watch something else.

I don't think we're gonna get much Cam hype from Enix this week.

5-of-19 for 92 yards and 2 INTs so far...

Man, Colts bearing the Bucs puts both Brady and Jonathan Taylor out of MVP consideration. Brady is in a slump as Certis is out dueling him. And Fournette had three TDs to Taylor's nada.

That stat line keeps getting worse. 5/21 now.

His QB rating is 5.8.

Yes, 5.8.

It appears the only reason Miami isn't up by more is they've fumbled four times.

Has the league figured out Cam?

Speaking of hapless QB-ing, Jalen Hurts is 8-of-19 for 73 yards and 3 INTs.

13.6 QB rating.

He might not be the answer in Philly.

Wentz throws up a floater that was intended for Michael Pittman's son Michael Pittman Jr, but was picked off by Antoine Winfield's son (and Golden Gopher 2020 draftee) Antoine Winfield Jr,

Cam benched. Next week's post full of sadness.

Cincy up 41-3 and they're still showing it!

Wow. The Titans just ran out of gas. Maybe the injuries finally caught up with them, but it's now 36-13 with under 5 min left and it looks like game over.

Turns out its really hard to win with practice squad guys.

Yeah. If there's a playoff rematch with AJ, Julio and a decent LB corps, it's going to be a very different game.

MVP McCorkle will be stronger by then too though.

Fournette just added a fourth TD on a 28-yarder with 20 seconds left when the Bucs were basically just setting up for a FG. Chris Godwin is such a great blocker on the outside and just erased the DB downfield on that one. Pretty, pretty play.

Holy !@#$!!!, Colts get a 71 yard kickoff return to have a legitimate shot now. Wow.

Edit again: Game-ending pick at the goal line. That was a somewhat more exciting finish than anticipated.

Teddy with a rushing TD. Cool

One more and he'd catch up to Taysom Hill.

Vita Vea lost a tooth in a scary hit because his helmet came loose and a Colts OL hit him.

Gods I hope Roethlesburger comes back for another year.

No sadness. Just bafflement.

I expected the Panthers to be pretty bad this year. I just wasn't expecting badness in quite this flavor.

Also, I'm pretty sure that was HEY DARNOLD out there today in a Cam Newton costume.

49ers tied it up before half

Is Tim Boyle contagious?

He has a tendency to do that. I could provide video evidence of previous examples if you would like.
