Video Game Deals Catch-All

Hm, already have it.

Requires linking to Steam instead of a key, so can't get a free key for anyone else. Oh well.

Same here apparently. I still went through the steps, linked my Steam account, and I got a redeemable key.

Hunter: Call of the Wild free on Epic

Next week, Dead By Daylight. Don't buy it on sale this weekend.

Not sure where else to ask, but Inscryption has a small discount and I'm on the fence.

I'm a bit fatigued with "meta" games, but love card games. Is it mechanically fun to play, or is the hype all based on how unusual and surprising it is?

I'm doing my best not to read too deep into it. If it's not a mechanically deeper card game then I might way for a steeper discount.

Have you tried the demo yet?

I somehow didn't even notice it had a demo.

That...uh, would be a good place to start. Thanks!

Tales of Arise $30 on Amazon.

If only I didn't have 2 Tales games in the pile already.

I really like the card games in Inscryption. So much so that after I finished the story I wish I could still play them. There has been calls for them to be broken off to be able to be played more. People are hoping it’s patched in.

PS+ for a year is $40 everywhere (amazon, best buy, target, gamestop etc(

Control: Ultimate Edition (GoG) is 29 cents on CDKeys.

Redemption window is really narrow though, so redeem it ASAP.

Please Note: This code CANNOT be redeemed after December 1st, 2021

And you can still get it for free if you have Amazon Prime.

Maybe I'm being cynical here, but given that CDKeys is not particularly well known for being a trustworthy site, the fact that you pay them for a key that happens to have the same time frame as the Prime (GOG) key has me wondering if they aren't using stolen Prime (GOG) keys.

Less stolen, more bought in low price markets and exchange/market rate exploited.

Yes please don’t use CDKeys if you care about actually rewarding people that make the games you like.

Yes.

I went on a little spree this morning:
griftlands (only $10 IIRC)
gears bundle: gears 5 + DLC, gears tactics (was less than $25 for all)
creeper world 4 (love the others in this series)
wasteland 3 pack (around $25 for base + all DLC)

I'm tempted to get Doom Eternal for $10 or whatever the fire sale price is for the complete pack

I think I have enough for now

Gears tactics is awesome.

I loved it when I tried it out on game pass. I was overloaded with stuff to try so I didn't get very far with it.
I am looking forward to solving it. The combat was the most fun of the strat rpgs other than 40K Battlesector.

I am surprised it doesn't have an expansion or DLC yet?

$100 PSN for $90 at Best Buy, and Amazon

Can probably turn around and use that to pay for your PS+ still on sale on PSN to the end of the month to save even more.

I mentioned this in the Control thread, but it's on sale on Xbox right now. $12 gets you everything for both last gen and current gen, although the saves don't translate - so I'll be playing the DLC on the last gen version, since I beat the game there.

Absolutely one of the best single-player games I've played in ages.

It might still be free on twitch.

I think it's technically still free on Prime Gaming as long as it's claimed today. I still have it up on my account. It's also on sale on Steam for $12 for the Ultimate Edition.

Free on Epic this week: Dead by Daylight & while True: learn()

Nothing listed for next week (yet?).

Godfall: Challenger Edition and Prison Architect are the ones for next week.

Prime Gaming has Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remaster, Football Manager 2021, Frostpunk, Journey to the Savage Planet with some being codes for other platforms.

The same weird partial game that PS5 owners are getting on PS+ this month. With an option to buy the whole game.

Nonsense

Claims code for games he will not play....

I've been wondering.... Where/what is the benefit to Epic on offering the freebies? I assume it's data analytics but I always decline to share my email info. Is it the hope that people that visit for the free will purchase something else? Simply to get their service in front of more users? I'd be interested to see how well that model is working for them.

Relevant article?

#1 When you claim the games, you have to go through their store, so you see all the special offers and discounts.
#2 Once you have a few games from EPIC, you've started developing a library of games thru their service, so you are more likely to make a purchase their (the counter to 'All of my games are on Steam, so I only want to buy games there').
#3 If you buy even 1 game there, you get a coupon for $10 off, so you are more likely to make another purchase there.

Plus they make their real money on free to play game Fortnite. And probably some on Rocket League now too. So if you have their launcher installed maybe you'll try one of those free games while you're there...
