Speaking of Rams hate, this is just too good:

Von Miller ankle injury worse than Rams believed when they made trade

They gave up a 2nd and 3rd round pick for half a season of a damaged goods edge rusher, who currently is incapable of generating pressure against the 49ers backup guard playing out of position as 4th string right tackle.

I think QAaron gets the MVP. He's gonna get good numbers down the stretch and likely the 1 seed. Now that he only got a slap in the wrist, people will either forget the vaxx fiasco or paint it as a story of redemption.

Where's the "this post is probably correct but I very much Dislike it" button?

I think there is an outside chance that Ryan Tannahill gets the MVP when the Titans go on a tear to win all their remaining games in the regular season without Henry. This, he will accomplish pretty easily against trash teams, but the numbers will impress enough folks who are eager to give the honor to someone that hasn't gotten it before.

Agree.

Knock on QAaron besides the obvious is his counting stats are pretty bleh. He also missed a game to knock his stats further back.

Can't see him winning unless he explodes and breaks some single season records which I doubt because -1 game + he actually hasn't been playing all that well imo.

Last game he actually almost murdered Davante on a throw that just teed him up for a hit

Also he's not going to explode down the stretch as the weather gets sh*t. LaFleur is going to ram Dillon + whoever is healthy.

Stafford is the greatest QB to never win a superbowl playoff game, so now this is a lock right?

Not trolling question.. though I'm sure it will be construed as such... If Goff and Stafford didn't swap but everything else on the Rams/Lions roster was the same as it is now (including the coaching change in DET), does anyone think that their W-L records would be signficantly different? I'm not smart enough to understand cap and draft implications, but outside of the the Rams against TB, is there any game that someone can reasonably say the result would be different if the trade didn't happen?

While Jared Goff's 338-3-1 against the same 49ers still may not have been enough.. something to think about.

I've NEVER rooted for the 49ers, even when my Fantasy team was dependent on them (as it was yesterday, Go Deebo!), but i"ll have to say, watching stafford look absolutely goffian was refreshing.

Why aren't you in the GWJ Dynasty League? We have an opening...

Carlbear joining the league would be great.

You assume anyone in the national media would give the Titans credit for anything. Most people have conveniently forgotten the Titans went on a tear against a chunk of the leagues best and any wins going forward will simply be written off as "easy schedule". Oh and I almost forgot the Titans were "done" without Derek Henry.

I'm good with it, they play way better with less hype.

Q Aaron is 100% MVP. The redemption tour is already starting. The NFL network talking heads this morning we’re going on and on about him.

It's almost like we need someone around here to remind folks the Titans exist.

Heh I'll take a look. Football and auction drafting never resonated with me.

We don't do auction drafts for dynasty. It's just a linear rookie/free agent draft each year based previous year's finish.

PFT: Expansion to 40 teams isn’t as crazy as it sounds

I don't think 40 is happening anytime soon, but I have said for years now that, when expansion finally does happen again, we will go from 32 to 36 in a hurry.

PFT thinks London gets two teams. If they do, I bet that unlike other shared-city teams, the London teams would be not only in the same conference, but same division. That would cut an overseas round trip off of each team's road schedule.

Can we put ONE team in London to see if it works, so we don't have a Rams/Chargers situation? Or at least have a team in London and another in Manchester, or Dublin, or Liverpool or literally anywhere else in Europe?

The NFL is perfectly fine with the Rams/Chargers situation. Both teams selling out a 70,000 seat stadium, both in the top 10 in home attendance. The league doesn't care if most of the ticket buyers are showing up to the stadium wearing the visiting team's colors (or are wearing Raiders gear regardless of if the Raiders are in town).

So, two in London, one in St. Louis. Where's the fourth go? San Antonio? Portland?

San Diego, Oakland, Salt Lake, Toronto all in that list.

Sleeper pick: Chicago joins NY and LA in the two-team club.

Also, London doesn't necessarily get two expansion teams to get their 2 teams.

London Jaguars

Austin? I like the idea of anything making Jerry Jones mad.

Put one in the largest city in Ohio: Columbus (and I will dump the Browns).

There was a possibility that the Las Vegas stadium wouldn't be ready in time for the 2021 NFL season and that they Raiders would have to play in the contingency location at the University of Texas stadium in Austin. I really wanted this to happen and for the Raiders to win the Super Bowl just so that I could tell my Cowboys and Texans fan friends that the only Texas team that caught a glimpse of the Super Bowl in 20 years was only there for the nachos.

Well, not that it matters, but here are the largest cities in the US.

According to this, the largest cities to not have an NFL team are

7. San Antonio
8. San Diego
10. San Jose (unless the Niners count)
11. Austin
12. Fort Worth
14. Columbus {My pick}
22. Oklahoma City
23. El Paso
25. Portland (OR)
28. Memphis
29. Louisville
32. Albuquerque

So, put two in London, one in Toronto (which is a shade higher in population than Chicago) and pick which franchise you want to cannibalize their fan base.

Considering how Santa Clara is on San Jose's border, yeah, probably does.

What happened to Mexico City?

I'm pretty sure you're never going to see a pro team in Columbus or Austin. I'm pretty sure the only college with sustained success alongside an NFL team was USC and their last peak was during a time there wasn't a team. Miami would be close but there success was pretty short-lived. Minnesota was a legitimate blue blood program but hasn't been relevant since the '60s. The Vikings started in 1961. The NFL just draws so much attention, and thus money, away from the college programs.

Austin is basically the same entry on the list as San Antonio. Whichever city the team goes into, both cities are in their market. The Raiders explored the idea of relocating to a city that's right on I-35 between the two cities, San Marcos, which in my experience is just a giant outlet mall sitting on the highway. (And the people coming to and from San Antonio would get to make that all-important Buc-ee's stop in New Braunfels on their way home)
