He’s probably protecting the ball too much at this point, because the Jags offense is so beyond inept that the alternative to risky throws is 3-and-outs. He’s the 6th most pressured QB in the league, yet is only 26th in sacks taken. He has the 4th lowest “pressure to sack %”.
The Jags can’t protect him one lick, and he’s doing everything possible to avoid throwing INTs and taking sacks.
You’d think the Jags offense, with their 3rd-best in the league 5.1 rushing yards per attempt, would build on their ground game to establish a more balanced offense, but no, they’re 26th in rushing attempts.
Seattle Coach Voltron is out there asking rookie Lawrence to play veteran Russell Wilson hero ball. Pretty much the exact offensive look I feared with their hiring.

I was born a 49ers fan in the early 1980s.
The Rams are the one true rival and enemy of the 49ers. Their move to St. Louis ruined that, and their return to Los Angeles, where they belong, has restored it fully.
The Rams, by the way, have not defeated the Niners in 1,051 days.
