Free on Epic this week: Aven Colony

Free on Epic next week: Rogue Company Season Four Epic Pack

I've had a real soft spot for base builders lately, so Aven Colony looks like a good way to spend the afternoon

OOP, Make sure you don't sneak past this gem!

Deep Rock Galactic and Risk of Rain 2 are both $14.99 on Steam, which I think might be the lowest yet. I haven't played either one but I'm curious.

Immortals Fenyx Rising is also $15 on Amazon for PS4, PS5, and Xbox, while the Switch version is $20, and these are matched at BestBuy and GameStop (the last one wants $25 for it).

And purchased! Thanks!

trueheart78 wrote:

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is also availability digitally for $20.

I was tempted but then I noticed that the physical version was $20 from Amazon so I bought that. I figure if I play 10+ hours and get bored I can sell it. I never get much but if the local store gives me $5 in trade in it is something.

Green Man Gaming has a 20% pre-purchase discount on Elden Ring running until Monday, valid for Standard and Deluxe editions.

The three side-scrolling Assassin's Creed spinoffs are free from Ubisoft on PC right now. It showed up for me in the Ubisoft Connect app, but I can't find a web link showing it's free to post here. If you've got Ubisoft Connect installed, open it up and see.

Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-shot Adventure is free on Epic.

Oh, neat! Is that just a stand-alone version of the Borderlands 2 DLC from a few years ago? I remember, surprisingly enough for a Borderlands game, getting just a bit choked up towards the end of that story.

No its a new campaign but the format is the same.

I bought Valhalla AP for Xbox and ran into the dreaded no dialogue sound problem. Well documented in the internet. I tried all the sound mix solutions but no dice. Caveat emptor.

Um, the free Tiny Tina on Epic is so far the same campaign as the BL2 DLC. Its just standalone and you start at level 1. You also get 2 skill points per level which is odd.

Man I am not a fan of BL2's shooting mechanics. This is exacerbated early on as the first enemies you fight are skeletons with slim and tiny hit boxes. So I may revisit this later, but so far I am not warming to it much.

hmmm odd, I seen the trailer and it had a different setup. hmmm that actually might have been a joke trailer or maybe I forgot most of it.

Yeah, complete with Mr. Torgue stopping you from entering the gate before you pass his tests. Then following the path of the missing queen...

There is a new game coming in March that is new across the board. But this ain't that

Yeah, agreed. This is the same DLC from Borderlands 2, just in standalone form, as a sort of advertisement for the upcoming new "Tiny Tina's Wonderlands" feature-length game.

That might have been part of the joke: shooting bullets at a literal skeleton isn't very effective. Try using a bludgeoning weapon.

It isn't supposed to be strictly the same:

Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventure features all of Borderlands 2's uniquely powerful Vault Hunters—Axton, Maya, Salvador, Zer0, Gaige, and Krieg. All six are playable from the start, letting you jump straight into the action. Each Vault Hunter also has a new cosmetic Vault Hunter Head to collect in addition to their usual duds!

That's not the only added content, either. You'll find plenty of new toys to play with, including Kite Shields that push enemies back when broken, Loot-a-pults that launch random loot across the map, and even a couple of fan-favorite BL2 missions transported into the world of the Wonderlands.

There's more added content to discover, but we'll leave that to all you intrepid adventurers.

(emphasis mine)

Definitely got one of those shields right off the bat. It is way too early to tell how it works yet. I have a corrosive shield now that I am not giving up

Oh that game is so great. Beat it on Switch but I'm sure PC is good too.

It’s also free in Steam. I love this game.

Western Digital WD BLACK SN850 1TB is lowest price ever, $150, at Newegg for 4 more hours. Missed the email this morning but just saw it.

This is the most highly recommended PS5 expansion drive so far, beating the Sony internal drive in speeds even. So time to double up my storage.

Epic has Rogue Company today.

They are doing 3 free games next week. Looks like a Thanksgiving sale maybe?

Sounds like a Mechromancer Anarchy build might be up your alley. As Gaige says herself, "Accuracy is over-rated!"

Armored Brigade and all 3 DLC are 40% off at Matrix/Slitherine until Monday evening (US East Coast). Pretty good savings.

Yeah I snagged the one DLC I was missing.

Forgot to post last night. BF ads are leaking. Looks like a few recent games are going to have big discounts. These are Meijer and Walmart, probably will be matched by BB, Target or Amazon
