NFL 2021: The Week 8 thread

Well that's seals that he won't get the Jeopardy gig.

Packers shoulda traded his ass to Denver.

Bring on the Love era!

He literally is the only QB in Green Bay right now.

Well you know what that means...

Couldn't find a trade partner? I'm sure the Rams would have given up their 2025 1st rounder just to get rid of the pick.

Yup. He's on the way to Green Bay. BORTLESMANIA!

He may get the start. Jordan Love reportedly had close contact with Rodgers, including a Halloween party.

Now that this is a possibility, this is the only thing I want from this week of football.

I want no QB to be available, and find out who gets to be the Kendall Hinton of the Packers.

That’s basically what Bortles starting is.

I want a COVID forfeit and I loathe the Chiefs.

No we need to see Jordan Love play football!

Don't be greedy. It could be equally as comical as Bortles to the point we see Bortles come in.

Rodgers had a "homeopathic treatment" that he wanted counted as a vaccine.

The NFL, and reality, disagreed.

Even Trump loving Florida living Brady had enough common sense to get vaccinated.

Depending what kind of antics the team has to put up with for the rest of this year + offseason I wouldn't be surprised if they trade him and move on.

NBA level diva stuff doesn't work in the NFL.

I figured trading him was part of the "agreement" they came to when he agreed to report to the team. I imagine this just reinforces that from the team's perspective.

I still think they made a mistake not moving him this offseason, at the peak of his value, coming off an MVP campaign. Granted, with the Packers at 7-1, it's hard to critique them too much, but they definitely traded a better long-term move for a championship push in 2021, and they had better win the title or it wasn't worth it. (I'm OK with them winning a title if it means the Rams' attempt at buying one fails like it so richly deserves).

Was it clay?

Henry Ruggs was reportedly driving at up to 156 mph prior to the crash. He was at 127 mph at the point when the airbags deployed.

His blood alcohol content was .161, measured hours later from a hospital blood draw because Ruggs refused a sobriety test at the scene.

In lieu of saying extremely harsh and angry things, I will simply say this is about as egregious as DUI can be, and seems to be the exact kind of behavior that the maximum sentences were imagined to punish.

Internet seems to think they had a deal in place with NO until their quarterback tore every ligament on his leg.

What do you mean? Taysom Hill, the highest paid QB on their roster, is back from concussion protocol this week. Everything should be green-light go-go-go!
