Annie and Hazel got on the couch last night to watch the season finale of Ted Lasso with us. They both enjoyed it.

Not my pet, but here goes. Shaking every tree possible.

My dad is making a transition to a new home soon and as such we’re trying to find a home for his beautiful black lab. Is anyone near Oregon interested in adopting an older pupper?

Is he good on boats? Maybe talk with Tuffalo?

She would love the ocean. I don’t know that shes’s good on boats.

An update, Molly has a new home. One of my brother's best friends from childhood stepped up. Thanks everyone who passed this on.

Ha! Our cat would not be happy.

Glad she found a new home!

I didn’t volunteer you.

For the first time, today, Matilda went completely limp as I was holding her, purring up a storm. It was sooooo cute.

Squee!

Our Malu is partly feral, so she doesn't like to be held. The only thing she likes is if you brush her while she's eating her dry food (of which she's really picky about). We call them food pets. I think she's so on edge that it lets her eat while feeling protected like someone's watching her back. This is the only time she'll ever purr.

Most recent image of her in happy sleep mode:

We have 2 cats and one of them likes food pets too. He 'dances' when you do it, basically trying to knead the hard counter while eating makes his shoulders shift side to side. It's real damn cute.

I just realized I never posted here. This dog lost its owner and I was keeping it while the family dealt with things, but it looks like she is mine now. Meet Gypsy...

Nice.

I thought I would sit down and play Days Gone for a while before going trick or treating this evening, and next thing you know I had turned into St. Francis.

Sorry for kind of a bummer post but does anybody have experience getting a cat to eat when they can't smell very well?

My cat had nasal lymphoma and it seems like it's finally effected his sense of smell. He wants to go by his food but then he just looks at it. Heating up his food doesn't seem to help. I've just gotten a high calorie nutritional supplement gel that's supposed to encourage appetite but haven't gotten a chance to see if it works or not.

I'll see if the vet has any ideas tomorrow but I figured enough people around here have had old cats that somebody may have dealt with something similar before. I doubt he's got much time left but I'd rather he didn't go because he stopped eating.

That's tough. I'm the other way, one of my cats doesn't like his food cold, so I have these simple freeze dried tuna fish bites, and I smash one into his food, and he digs in because mmm, fish.

I don't have any specific recommendations and mostly wanted to post to express support (we'll be saying goodbye to our little one sometime very soon as well). Ours is on an appetite stimulant (mirtazapine). Maybe if you put some food on your finger you can get them to taste it and maybe whet their appetite? I know when one of my kitties was going from renal failure, I was squirting honey water in her mouth at the end, just to make sure she had calories.

Feeling for you.

So a little over month ago, my sweet girl Binx got suddenly ill (pancreatitis complicated by diabetes) and passed away. My remaining cat Noghri has been feeling the solitude, so over the weekend i went out to a local cat shelter and found a kitten to join the family.

What a beautiful baby.

I’m so sorry about Binx.

Sorry to hear about Binx, but hellooo Sylvie!

I was telling my wife that while people are more understanding of fur babies, some still scoff at the term.

Immediately I thought, "You've never had a dog have you?"

Matilda has gotten to a point where she seems to love being held. Purr purr purr all the livelong day.
