NFL 2021: The Week 8 thread

I will go one step further: if the NFL wanted to say we are not the arbiters of morality and everyone can play if they aren't in prison, then I would be cool with that. But the NFL wants to pretend to be the arbiter or morality and distractions, then how can you, as an organization, put your arm around a guy with 22 women claiming that he molested or raped them?

Yeah this and other reasons is why I no longer sit at the TV on Sundays.

That's three kicks in a row that I've seen go wide left.

Kicking game is... Not good.

Right after they talk about all the FGs, maybe the 49ers finally scored a TD against the Bears for the first time in years... if it holds up on review.

Another Joey Slye missed XP!

Out at the 3. Jimmy finally scores on 3rd down. PAT missed, still down 1.

Kickers...

Just get rid of the kicker like Pittsburgh did...

I'm at the Pats-Chargers games and I'm pretty sure Pats fans outnumber Chargers fans. This stadium is bonkers, though. The view from my nosebleeds is actually pretty cool. I could be coaching from up here if I knew anything about football.

Stupid 49ers defense just whiffed so bad on Fields, made him look like Lamar

The Panthers are six points better than an ATL team that has beaten only the Giants, Jets and Dolphins this season. Seems about right.

PS: The best part about Carolina running the ball is that this game was as quick as it was boring. Game was over before 4p! FREEDOM!!!1!!

So, the problem with the Jets mightve mostly been a QB problem? You don't say.

Who Dey? Hahaha

I can’t help but think this was a trap game for Cincinnati after the emotional high of beating the Ravens

Definite trap game but at the same time I'm not sure how often the trap team puts up 30+ points. I don't think anyone in their right mind had the Jets scoring more than 14 and even then only in a game where they are getting blown out and it's garbage time.

The NFL parity league! Unless you are the Lions.

I thought the Lions were good value upset pick today because Philly is pretty blah. 44-6? Yikes.

I'm really rooting for Boswell to be the last Killer 'B' standing.

Also, how was the helmet-to-helmet that knocked him out of the game with a concussion not roughing the passer?

Wait wait wait . . . Hurts was 9/14 for 103 yards and the Min-stache was 2/2 for 11, and the Eagles put up 44?

Starting to think perhaps Goff and a WR corps full of people I've never heard of might not be the problem in Detroit.

Jameis goes down with what could be a pretty nasty lower-body injury; got called a horse collar, but Devin White just grabbed his jersey and apparently had the hands strength to wrench him down to the ground, and Winston bent in a not-great way. Trevor Sieman to the rescue.

Edit: I looked at the replay and saw which direction Winston's knee bent. Pro tip, do not look at the replay.

Jags down 24-0 to Seattle.

Seattle Coach Voltron reminding everyone on the other sideline why they got booted outta town.

What happened to Taysom? Why is the pride of Northwestern in?

Out with a concussion.

Seattle chokes away the shutout at the very end. Too bad, Urban deserved the humiliation of the shutout.

If they don't score, how else are they going to give up a touchdown on the ensuing onside kick?

Yeah, that was a beautiful piece of "how dare you try to end this game on a high note" football gods retribution.

Denver tried to give it away to the Team.

Brady pick 6 when he just needed 3 to win. Game over

Jameis Winston's knee possibly crab meat.

The week Brady is getting MVP buzz 3 turnovers and he loses to a divisional rival with their backup QB.

Ah so good

Should have been watching film Monday instead of hanging out with the Mannings.

Those Germans have a word for everything!

Spoiler:

I am w/you jowner. Lousy Brady/Flanders!!!

Seriously, what do the Saints know about Brady that the rest of the league doesn't?

The Saints read his birth certificate.
