Now I need Blaine Gabbert to throw a TD pass to Chubba Hubbard so we can have Yo Hubbard Gabbert!

Yeah I spent 6 long years saying the same thing.

Listen, any offensive gameplan that gets the name "Chubba Hubbard" repeated more often is an offensive gameplan I am a fan of.

I'm certainly rooting for Chuba Hubbard. He got the short end of the Mike Gundy OAN controversy, and then didn't look as good his final year in college. The college tape watchers said his vision got worse, almost as if he was a little less motivated or something, or maybe his coaches didn't try as hard after he was a whistleblower.

PS - I know you're supposed to punch the ball out of the carrier's hands, but what was up with the Steelers/Seahawks game? Not only did TJ Watt commit assault, DK Metcalf got in on the fun, and didn't even get penalized.

We're 1970s Raiders/Steelers NFL now boys.

He was giving him the business up there.

I'm in favor of this because it's hilarious. I hope it continues escalating and I get to hear the words "He crane-kicked the ball out of the carrier's hands."

Also, it should be illegal for someone as large as Derrick Henry to move that quickly.

the attendance for the game tonight was 69,419, so I'm rooting for Tennessee to lose on that alone.

We going to have another overtime game this weekend?

WOOF that holding penalty, in retrospect.

Hahaha, guess they prefer to lose.

Lamar would never not get a half yard, just saying.

This week's loss to the Rams has me really worried about the the Giants this season and next.

First, the decision to play Daniel Jones was bizarre. Last week, he was clearly almost out on his feet with a concussion, so I was astonished to see him take the field on Sunday. What are all the concussion protocols for if not to prevent precisely this kind of thing from happening. And yet - apparently - Jones is good to go.

Second, yesterday's MMQB podcast reported that - at half-time - Joe Judge told his players that none of their roster spots was guaranteed. I am agog at this. Is this how a Head Coach motivates their players when they're 1-4?! By telling them that their jobs are at risk?! In the middle of a game?!

This all smacks of Joe Judge attempting to save his own skin, by transferring the blame to his players.

From the NY Post, about Judge's half-time talk:

We’ll go through the tape,’’ Judge said when asked what he saw. “But there are some guys I could see with the eye test right away that fought and finished. That’s how we’re going to do things around here. We’re going to compete for 60 [minutes].

If things go to form, then expect to see Jason Garrett defenestrated before Xmas. I was never convinced about Jason Garrett as an OC; his record at Dallas as a Head Coach was decidedly average. But I don't think he should carry the can for Judge's (and Gettleman's) failings.

Then I'd expect to see Judge booted out at the end of the season. (He's started 1-5 in both of his seasons as Head Coach, effectively making each season an exercise in salvaging pride rather than competing.)

And then I'd expect to see Gettleman 'retire' shortly afterwards.

I've seen a number of articles this week suggesting that a complete teardown is required in NY now. Even suggesting that the Team attempt to secure draft capital by trading Barclay and Engram. It hurts my heart, but I have to agree. Otherwise, the Giants risk becoming the Detroit Lions/Cleveland Browns of the 2020s.

Joe Judge is a Real Man™.

I'd suggest tearing down the team, yeah, but I figured that's what they were doing when they traded OBJ. Definitely need a new OL.

Very frustrating considering there is no light at the end of the tunnel. Firstly, Gettleman needs to retire. I bought into his pitch of building the lines first and here we are 5 years later. Pathetic pass rush and bad O line still. Never liked the Saquon pick that high. I firmly believe picking a RB that high is a waste if you have no line to support him. It's not his talent I am knocking, it's the fact that the RB position generally has a short shelf life compared to other positions.

The Garrett move of putting Jones in there after a concussion and then the QB sneak, whether it was a Garrett called play or audible by Jones is mind boggling.

Judge and his bad ass, disciplinarian take is starting to wear on me. If the Giants get rid of Gettleman, which I hope they do, then I would want a GM hired externally. Not an upcomer from inside the Giants org. I want someone who is bright and has a modern take on what is needed to build a team. Let the new GM make a decision on the head coach. Not ownership. Their meddling has to stop.

True fact: Dave Gettleman was the GM in Carolina when they drafted Christian McCaffrey No. 8 overall in 2017. History repeats!

Related: Sunday's Panthers-Giants game will be a get-right game for one of those two teams. HEY DARNOLD is returning to his old home stadium, which is reportedly full of ghosts that only Sam can see. But he hasn't played that well in Charlotte either, so I'm beginning to think it's not the ghost of Jimmy Hoffa that's the problem. Maybe this'll be the week that Danny Dimes isn't the worst QB on the field?

Have to admit, not going to push back on the wife when she comes up with plans for Sunday

Exactly!

And the hits just keep on landing.

Ravens put starting Left Tackle Ronnie Stanley on long term IR. Out for season.

Man, Stanley has lost a season and a half to that ankle.

Man, the Giants have let me know I can free my Sundays for whatever I like by Week 4 of the four seasons.

I think we got like a dozen snaps out of that $100M.

That Baker Mayfield injury seems serious. I don't see how he makes it through four quarters on Thursday.

I am personally looking forward to the Case Keenum era.

I'm not, he's a nice dude but has done one year of good play that seems to be the aberration in his career.

That said, he may be able to use OBJ more than Baker.

In other news, Ravens get TE Nick Boyle back from IR. He's their premier blocking TE, which I'm sure all the league is happy hearing he's back.

Is that not beer? Am I not getting drunk? Is the sarcasm not coming out?

Don't get me wrong, I am not a fan of Baker, but I don't think that CK is the answer, unless the question is "how quickly can we tank for a top 5 pic?"

lol My bad. I think it was the one beer that threw me off. I think many beers are needed.

I'm struggling to read folks atm because I'm currently arguing in the politics forum that assassinating people is maybe not an okay suggestion to make.

How is he at playing left tackle?

Overrated position. Clearly Lamar doesn't need one.

You laugh, but there is a school of thought that says that the RG position is actually more important than the LT in the Lamar led, GR coached offense.
