If you announce you are humbled by something, isn't that contradictory? Being humbled would be you not announcing, no?

Of you humbled by something you are saying you either feel meek or smaller in the presence or in comparison to that something. It can also be used to indicate you are showing reverence or submission to something.

In either case “being humbled by something” does not mean they are actually humble because of said something.

Haha! Yes! Being humbled versus being humble. Great distinction.

Just curious.

Be curious and stay curious my friend.

That is very humbling...

So you say...

Today’s episode of It Could Happen Here daily podcast has a great interview with Sam Barlow, the main writer on Her Story and Telling Lies. If I’m remembering right the GWJ pod had him as a guest years ago.

Twofold question:
1. What would be the best way to have a Her Story game night with friends on the big screen in the living room? What would be the easiest method of making that happen and easy to play?

2. If one of my friends played Her Story years ago, would it be boring for them to play along now? Would it be too spoilery to have them there?

My wife has figured that she absorbs information better audibly than written, so is looking for a text reader program to use for college (i.e. so her computer can read her PDF textbooks to her).

Anyone got one to recommend?

Set up a rule in your email client to auto delete them.

Is there a setting somewhere that says you're open to opportunities?

My wife is making a Totoro costume that we need to bring on a flight in about two weeks. It collapses but the hoops that make up the frame are too wide (about 42" in diameter) to fit in a suitcase. Any suggestions for a bag or box type to pack this in for the airplane?

I think there used to be a setting like that.

May I share this with a friend who does lots of hoop dresses as cosplay?

Ship it ahead of you via UPS or another carrier. Alternatively, see if you can buy the hoops at a shop near your destination.

Sounds like an awesome costume. I want one.

Unfortunately the hoops are already purchased and attached to the fabric, but we will see what UPS says. According to United's website it's going to cost $200 to bring with us since it's oversized, but it's for my sister's wedding so we may just bite that bullet if we need to.

When did the Mongols rule China?

They conquered it starting in 1205 and finishing in 1279. This "Yang" dynasty lasted until 1368.

What’s the diameter of the largest hoop?

For a good five minutes I was trying to figure out what a costume of Toronto would even look like.

A Totoro costume... for a wedding? What have I been doing wrong my whole life to not get invited to such amazing events!?

I don't know. I just work here.

she said costumes are welcome but she doesn't know this is happening.

What's that website where you can look up what streaming service you can watch what TV show on? Bonus points if you know an Australian one?

Justwatch.com, but it's not Australian, so no bonus points for me.

I have kind of a legal question here, and it's a pretty long and sordid story, but I'll try to stick to the basic question without too much background.

If someone is living in a house, say as a girlfriend of someone living in the house*, the couple breaks up, the girlfriend is forbidden by EPO from coming near the house, is an eviction notice necessary? She has already been to pick up her belongings accompanied by a police officer. I think she did leave some things in the house.

*It's my mother's house, the person in question is my brother's girlfriend. My mother is in assisted living and not a part of what's going on. That's another legal question: we daughters have POAs limited to finances and medical care. I don't think we can actually evict even if we needed to, as we are not the property owners.

I'm familiar with my state's eviction laws, having evicted tenants from a my rental property. In those cases, I went through the full legal process of eviction. In this case, no one ever had a rental agreement with this person and I can't find anything in the law to guide me.

My sister wants to put a notice on the door, I don't think the notice is necessary and I'm also afraid it could make a legal presumption that we considered her a tenant with rights, which we don't and I don't think the law does either. She's basically been "shacking up" with my brother (in case this sounds harsh, there is a whole backstory of drugs, violence, and taking advantage of my mother). Haven't reached out to an attorney yet, but may do so if needed.

Thanks in advance for any guidance or insight anyone has to offer.
