Xbox Game Pass for Console, PC, and Android

Awesome. I've been waiting on this one for a while, hoping for a good price drop so I could check it out. Dropping to (kind of) free, works for me. We should all get some co-op going.

Xbox Game Pass Subscriptions Reach 30 Million, Take-Two CEO Says

however, [Phil] Spencer responded, "The last public number we announced was 18 [million]." Zelnick then appeared to try to course-correct himself, saying, "It's more than 18."

Trained Grail is a pretty good Slay The Spire-like. The combat and enemies are mechanically creative and interesting, even if the graphical style is very grey and dull.

It's really good. I like it much more than Slay the Spire. The story telling and atmosphere are excellent. It really nails the aesthetic that Grim Dawn was going for.

I don't think I would have ever checked it out if it weren't for the recommendations here.

The one thing I don't like are the Wyrdcards, I think. They're frequent wild cards that force you to choose between two negative outcomes. I don't mind the outcomes so much, but having to interpret and make a choice slows down the flow of play.

They're only negative outcomes of you're letting your wyrdcandles burn down.

If you have enough light, it's two positive outcomes to cost from - and i rarely use them so i get the zero cost benefit instead of the 1 energy cost one.

I'm finding the pacing of Tainted Grail a little odd, with unpredictable difficulty. It's really trying to do some big things with permanent upgrades, and I'm not yet sure how I feel about how it handles challenge. It seemed like my first real run was mostly easy, but slowly ground me down in ways I couldn't really counteract.

That being said, I just started a run with the summoner and it's such a wildly different playstyle; managing minions, levelling them up and choosing which ones you want to attack. Just lovely!

This game is such a hidden gem

Well it put a big smile on my face.

Plus, Mighty Goose looks like a really good Metal Slug clone!

Just you wait. EVERY new character is wildly different.

I may be too old but I couldn't understand how to play Lemnis Gate.

Astria Ascending is out now, day one on Game Pass.

Unsighted is also out today. I'm almost at the point where I feel like asking them to stop releasing new games because the FOMO is real.

Ok, wasn't sure about AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES - nirvanA Initiative but the trailer does just the right amount of intrigue.

Then there is a gameplay trailer, and it gets bonkers. Definitely a Persona-esque vibe to it.

It's from the director of the Zero Escape games, if that helps. I've had it on Switch since release, but haven't gotten around to playing it. Now I'm debating whether I should start it there or on Xbox.

My 10yo daughter is really enjoying Lost Words: Beyond The Page. Not sure when it was added to game pass but we just found it recently.

Let's see, Avengers is only . . . 152 GB.

Ah, live service games, the things you do because reasons.

Woohoo! PC is ONLY 132 GB.

Seriously considering just skipping it, especially since I've been looking forward to 2 games also released today which are Unsighted and mildly interested in Scarlet Nexus, and I see Back 4 Blood and Rift Breakers coming 2 weeks from now while I'm in the middle of FF13 and might want to get back to Halo: Combat Evolved. That's not even looking at my console games.

It's not like anyone is jumping up and down saying Avengers is some amazing must play game. It's mostly just the franchise draw.

Avengers is pretty fun. I have one cheev left, the 50 hives one, and am about half done. Hit me up if you want me to power-level you once you open up access to hives.

Once i pop that cheev, tho, this is getting deleted and not reinstalled.

Oh, Sally, never change.

I was excited to try the dumpster fire Marvel game until I saw the download size.

I'm on archaic Aussie internet which still has data caps and that's just too large for my curiosity.

Maybe if I have spare data at the end of the month...but geez.

Got my first completion with the Sentinel, who's an archer-character. I might have broken the build a little, if you can get a few passives that buff Armor, it lets you generate mad huge Barriers each turn - I barely took any damage in the last half of the run. Admittedly, that's on the basic difficulty, as with the rest of the roguelite deckbuilders, there's scaling difficulties with each successive success.

I've been looking forward to Lemnis Gate coming to GP and I've played it a couple of times now. It's a tricky game to get your head around from a brief description or trailer.

Lemnis Gate is a time-bending, turn-based combat strategy FPS. Over five alternating turns taking place in a 25" time-loop, you are called to master the unique abilities of a varied cast of deep-space operatives and out skill, outsmart, and outmaneuver your opponent in mind-bending 4D battles.

See!

I think they've done a decent job with the tutorial, which allows you to get accustomed to your different characters and abilities. You can also visit each of the maps to learn your way around them before jumping into the multiplayer, which helps a lot.

I've only played four or five 1v1 multiplayer games and won a couple of them (I'm still level 0 and playing others at that level). I'm not yet sure how much I'll enjoy the game once I get to higher levels but I'm definitely going to keep playing this one. It's a neat game mechanic and I'm enjoying the mix of tactics and strategy. I'm also looking forward to trying some of the co-op multiplayer maps next.

Yes but it’s an action game so not likely to play well streamed

I've played about 2 hours of Scarlet Nexus and it's pretty solid. It's very heavy on the dialogue, and these scenes mostly use static images so it can be a bit draining to sit through, but the core gameplay is satisfying enough. I like mixing the different powers together and hacking away at monsters.

So far, it hasn't blown my mind or anything. It's pretty generic in terms of actual fighting, but the special moves are all very flashy which makes it fun to play. While they mostly involve just pressing a single button, it's like sitting through a dumb action anime flick.

It's solid. The story is intriguing and well-acted. Music is great, character designs are all nice. Seems like the quintessential "7/10" that's well worth playing.

*laughs in Australian internet*. Game streaming just isn't a possibility here.

Update on Scarlet Nexus.

I'm starting to see why a few of the reviews are saying it's quite average. It's flashy and responsive, the characters are nice and so is the music and general vibe. It all *feels* great to play...

But there's really not much to it. It's very repetitive and the lustre wears off after a few hours. I've uninstalled it despite being very charmed initially.
