Not sure if this gives them an excuse to kick it out another 1-2 months if there's negative feedback they claim will need to be addressed. Also I cannot imagine trying to progress much in 4 days. It took me a week to get to 20 the last time.
This wouldn't be the worst thing as long as we got a good game in the end
I didn't try any of their large scale pvp systems, but evidently they were lag fest in the last beta, so I would assume that they want to make sure they have that particular issue solved under stress conditions.
I might hop back on if the previous beta toons roll over but I'm also good just waiting for launch.
Ferret, you going in alone or with a team? Server coordination may be tricky, but I got 2 others from Lotro days with pre-orders.
Maybe 2-3, at least for launch. My desire/patience for finding the old sweet spot of casual hardcore has long gone. I'll be happy to run dungeons and do light pvp. If/when the game adds actual raids, I'll sit that out and let the whipper snappers have their fun.
Totally willing to follow your lead on server selection, and or coordinate with the GWJ hive mind. Larger scale GWJ MMO participation always drops off after a month or two, but still would be great for everyone's toons to be on the same server if possible for expansions and what not.

Not sure what faction you plan on going, but I'm in a pretty big Marauder Company. Not sure what server we heading to, but if you are interested let me know and I'll pass on the server info once they let us know. They let their members play how they want, but have enough to do the wars and such.
I am good for trying whatever server GWJ selects. First person to list a solid NA server I suppose (east preferred). I don't know if they will keep the same list as Beta.

So, given this I'd vote for following Dahc's guild, pending Ran's input, though I would guess that guild might be a little more hardcore for the average booster.
Everything okay? Hope so. Take care of yourself ran.

For the ones of us that are doing the open beta, we are on Royllo. Going to do Covenant for the faction for the beta. If you happen to get on, give me a shout. I'm Wyser in game.
I played the open beta of this over the weekend and really enjoyed it quite a bit! Aside from my first experience with Ultima Online (which I probably played for a year and a half of so at launch), I've been a serial MMO tourist, having gotten pretty invested in a bunch of different MMOs, but rarely for more than 2-3 months. Every 2-3 years I get that MMO itch, and New World seems likely to be my next one. Unlike FFXIV, which has tempted me, it doesn't have a monthly fee, so I won't feel the same unhelpful pulls of either "gotta play constantly this month because I've paid for it" or "I probably can't play much this month so I might as well cancel my subscription and delete the game." Anyway, I played for 5 hours or so and really enjoyed the pretty simple loops of leveling up my various skills and exploring the world, which seemed pretty neat, so I decided to stop playing and just pre-order it. Looking forward to jumping in! Will check here to see what servers people are using when it launches.
Was the list of server names the same as for the previous events? Curious if that's a dependable list to go ahead and pick from.

Not sure if any were the same as closed beta, but open beta did not have all of the same ones from closed beta.
I'm planning on playing on an NA East server, though I haven't picked which one just yet. If anyone here is playing and has server plans, I'd be interested to know.
Thats a lot of servers!
A friend and I are going to play on Olympus.
Folks that i played Crowfall with are playing on the Camelot server. Faction still undecided.
Is there an active group in MoB planning to play NW? A few of us left MoB for another Crowfall guild (Dissentient) a while back, due to inactivity.
I'll be playing NW with one of the Crowfall guilds we're allied with, Running Dawn. They're leaning west coast.

My group is also going Camelot. Still don't know faction, yet.
Regarding the launch schedule, character names (and Company names) are global.
The first server up is EU and if you really wanted to reserve your name you could stay up late on the 27th (if in NA) and lock in your name.
Has Dahc's guild made a decision on servers yet? Are you guys sticking with Royllo? Just trying to figure out which server the East coast players will be playing on.
Any EU players here at all? This is always my dilemma, whether to join a US server and risk the lag, or join an EU server and all the faceless hordes.

They haven't let us know yet. We have a guild meeting tomorrow where they should let us know what server and faction we are going. Will post immediately after.
LOL, guess I'll have to wait a while
Any decisions made about which US East server to join? Asking for a friend...
I'm on Orun on US East! Playing Syndicate.
