Meanwhile some conservatives are over here like, “we love the horse medicine”.

I think I need to create a consumable and then start a crappy blog about what Fauci doesn't want you to take. Basically sugar water and push it on the GOP. I'd make millions and have to learn to sleep with all the deaths I'd cause....but sleep on a pile of money.

One of the messages seems to be that ivermectin is cheaper than a free covid shot.

Oh, so the military industrial complex is A okay but big pharma is "hell no!"

Corporate killing = good
Corporate philanthropic healing = the worst
Corporate pain addiction solicitation = winning

The fact that that is a serious argument , and Garrison's comic not tongue in cheek, says everything needed about the intelligence of the audience.

The other message is that invermectin is just as/more effective at treating/preventing COVID than COVID vaccines even though invermectin has zero evidence of working and the vaccines have copious evidence of working.

I'd wager Garrison is vaccinated to boot!

It's more about the money going to Fauci.

I'd love to see a red yarn conspiracy wall of how Fauci's getting paid as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and compare that to one of the various tele-medicine COIVD "alliances" that are charging people $99 for a horse paste prescription.

If you think that's bad, I invite all of you to scorch your eyes with the ultimate 9/11 take.

Also, for the skillionth time, projection!

...the f*ck?!

So I’ve been thinking about this cartoon since I first saw it earlier today. Ben Garrison is actually trolling the horse paste crowd, right? He hates his audience but his audience is so deluded that they’ll never get that, right?

This is the same guy who draws Trump as Don Quixote and thinks it's a compliment.

So, no. No, he's not. He's just an idiot.

He genuinely outdoes The Onion, because reality always blows satire out of the water.

I don't even think they tried to do any insurrection cartoons, because you cannot parody Garrison. It's impossible.

Garrison is 100% sincere and that’s not even remotely his worst or most stupid comic.

From top to bottom, for a large chunk of these people, an election is only legitimate if they win. Democratic rule is always illegitimate, because they're Democrats.

Welcome to every election from now on.

With less than a week to go until the California recall election, some Republicans are falsely claiming that votes are rigged in favor of Democrats and suggesting, without evidence, that Gov. Gavin Newsom can only win with fraudulent votes.

The claims are unsubstantiated, and echo similar false messages promoted by Republicans last year following the election of President Joe Biden.

Larry Elder, the top-polling Republican candidate seeking to replace Newsom, is already preparing to challenge the recall results if Newsom survives.

Elder told reporters in Los Angeles on Wednesday that he believes “there might very well be shenanigans” in the recall election, but that he expects to win anyway because “so many Californians are angry about what’s going on,” according to CNN.

Elder said his campaign nevertheless is ready to file lawsuits and encouraged people to report any issues.

“We have a voter integrity board all set up – most of these are lawyers,” Elder said Wednesday, according to CNN. “So, when people hear things, they contact us. We’re going to file lawsuits in a timely fashion.”

A link on Elder’s campaign website, labeled as “report election incident,” takes users to a form to report incidents of voter fraud and sign a petition to investigate the results of the recall.

Some of the language on the site is written as though Newsom has already won. The page invites them to sign a petition to investigate the “twisted” results of the recall.

“We implore you…to join us in this fight as you are able, primarily by signing our petition demanding a special session of the California legislature to investigate and ameliorate the twisted results of this 2021 Recall Election of Governor Gavin Newsom,” the website says.

The sad thing is that the recall may succeed. It’s not at all guaranteed to fail. I may need to enter a cryogenic sleep chamber if Elder becomes the new California governor. Thats a very real possibility.

Bush, Clinton and Obama at Ground Zero.

Trump at a police precinct in Midtown after the official ceremony.

Hm.

EDIT: LOL, and it's basically a stump speech.

EDIT v2: Antifa mention.

EDIT v3: Impressive. A political event, using September 11 as a shield. The specifics of when and what things are allowed to be "political" continue to confuse me.

EDIT v4: Thank you AP, for the perfect ending

Trump planned to end the day in Florida, where he is providing commentary on a boxing match.

Electric Vehicle credit part of reconciliation came out. Everything is of course subject to change, but as the text currently stands here's my reading of the brakedown.

New EV credit that is the sum of:
- $4,000 base amount
- $3,500 if the EV has a battery of at least 40kWh
- $4,500 if the final assembly occurs at a domestic, unionized plant
- $500 if at least 50% of components and battery cells are manufactured in the US.

The credit is now refundable, and can be remitted to the dealer at the point of sale. The credit also has an income limit, but only phases out above incomes of $400,000 Single/$800,000 MFJ. There are also new MSRP restrictions, so any EV above the following MSRP's is ineligible for a credit:
- $55,000 for a sedan
- $64,000 for a van
- $69,000 for an SUV
- $74,000 for a pickup

TL;DR
$12.5k discount on a F150 Lightning

So Teslas are too expensive, and wouldn't get the union credit anyway right?

Correct, and I can’t see Musk allowing unions. The $4500 credit might be enough to get some of the manufacturers to allow unions, which is a nice side benefit.

f*ck yeah!!! Please Please Please

Guess Trump’s plan to bloviate at the boxing match didn’t quite go as planned. First round TKO of Holyfield. Why a 58yr old is allowed into a boxing ring, against a 44yr old, is mind boggling.

So many analogies between this boxing match and Trump. At least he didn’t get to talk much.

I guess around the incident of aggravated elder abuse Trump had high praise for the Moonies, who apparently turned Korea completely around in a few decades.

This is the sport where an asshole Youtuber is a top draw now.

I predict that this trend of unsanctioned boxing matches between odd D-list celebrities will end soon. The fights are awful. The production quality is crap. My son and I have watched a like two of them, but we haven’t been at all interested in the last few. Even if it was a free to watch event I wouldn’t waste my time.

Hopefully we’ll see MGK knock out McGregor before 2021’s Celebrity Deathmatch reboot is canceled.

It’s funny to think of WWE being tagged as “not a sport” when you have over the hill UFC fighters taking dives against YouTubers in boxing. Dudes coming out of retirement with 8 days notice.

See. This is the perfect example. I give zero effs about that event. I’ve already seen McGregor legitimately lose against some of the most talented MMA athletes.
