Recommend me a gaming chair

I'd also like to recommend Secret Labs. Both me and my girlfriend are avid gamers to the point where at home, we don't have a sofa, we have two large desks with our respective rigs in different corners and a large open space for VR.

With the advent of working from home we found ourselves sat at the desk all the way through the working day and finishing work by switching inputs on our monitors and spending the evening in the same spot an awful lot.

We got a pair of Secret Labs chairs (a Titan for me and an Omega for her as she's not as big) and would replace them with the same models in a heartbeat.

The are comfortable, very adjustable, durable and supportive. The only defect I have after 18 months is the armrest on one side has some odd dimpling that looks a little strange but makes no real difference. We live in these chairs and as a 48 year old gamer, I've had more than my fair share to try out.

Never going to buy anything else and have already persuaded a couple of friends to purchase and they've both thanked me. They may be more expensive but as my girlfriend likes to say, we're not wealthy enough to buy poor quality stuff!

Bought! Thanks!

Seing this thread pop up again gives me so many feels, thank you for this. Also, someday, I'll have to replace the uncomfortable racer chair Shawn bequeathed to me and love seeing the suggestions.

+1 to SecretLab. I got the Titan. Been WFH since March 2020. I sit in this chair every day for 8 hours a day and multiple hours at night. It's super comfortable and holding up well.

If at all possible, assemble the SecretLab chair inside the room that you intend to keep it. It's rather large (space may be an issue), and may have difficulty fitting through doorways.

You only have to do this if space is an issue

Wow, got my chair today, and it's everything that was advertised. Very nice indeed. The headrest is something special. Thanks everyone!

Hopefully's Docs' arrives before the weekend. I got the Regular, he got the Big Boi chair.

You know, I didn't want to point it out before because I was afraid I was going to sound overly effusive for something that's usually just a throwaway piece of crap in other circumstances, but you're right - the pillow really is a special and essential piece of kit to tie the whole thing together. Comfy as heck, too.

Not to disparage on the Secretlabs love, but I can also vouch for Noble Chairs.

I got a Hero at the start of the pandemic. My old IKEA Markus was giving me back pain, and the Hero was recommended as a chair with exceptional lumbar support.

Haven't had a shred of back pain since and that's been my WFH and gamer throne throughout the pandemic. I can't detect any wear on it whatsoever (i did spring for the leather version, specifically for the durability).

I don't want to give the impression that other chairs are bad, just that I'm very happy with this one. It feels like the built the chair starting with a mortar baseplate and going up and down. Very sturdy.

You of all people posting this makes me the happiest of campers.

SecretLab ships out of TN and UT...I wonder if I can go pick one up in person?

**Edit**
Nevermind, they are just importing them from Singapore.

Mine actually shipped out of Tennessee, so… You probably could pick it up in person from the warehouse.

Someone at work linked this Madison seating site. Looks like open box or refurb Herman Miller chairs

Aerons for $500, not bad.

Thinking of pulling the trigger on one of the Celles from the above site. I don't know if my wife will let me, or that I can sell her that it is my Christmas gift from last year as I am still trying to cash in on that PS5 she promised she'd let me get.
