Hidden Gems of Hulu and Hulu+

Anyone know how to access my history of shows I have watched in the Hulu iPhone app? I wanted to mark a few shows as like so I get more like them.

I don't think you can on the actual iPhone app. Or at least I couldn't find it. I know I have done it via the website and Apple TV app, however.

Late to the party, but Palm Springs is a hilarious homage to Groundhog Day and it is wonderful. J.K. Simmons got to cut loose a little for his role and it's pretty great.

Willy's Wonderland is a delightful Five Nights at Freddy's ripoff featuring Nicolas Cage as a silent protagonist(seriously, he doesn't have a single line of dialogue) who plays pinball, slams energy drinks and destroys murderous animatronics.

First two eps of Reservation Dogs were great. Funny and irreverent but with a lot of heart.

Reminded me a lot of Hunt For the Wilderpeople.

I finally watched Boss Level and enjoyed it

Anyone watching this?! Third episode was hilarious.

I love it. I spent my high school years and a little more on the San Carlos Apache Reservation when my mom took a job with IHS. It was an eye opening experience. This show is hitting all the right notes for me.

You should also consider checking out the 1491s(I've already spotted two of them on Reservation Dogs).

I watched the first episode last night and really enjoyed it. But it also was a place-setting episode so it had some heavy-lifting. Not that it is a plot-heavy show, but premiere's are not always the strongest episodes of a series. So I look forward to watching more.

Yeah, I'm three episodes in and really enjoying Reservation Dogs. Good mix of humor and drama.

My wife and I watched Love and Monsters last night, and I thought it was fantastic (she loved it too). I knew nothing about the movie prior to googling "best movies on Hulu August 2021," and boy were they right. An absolute delight!

If you have not ever or not in a while rewatch Brooklyn 99. We are almost through season 3 in our rewatch before the final season here. Holy cow I forgot most of this and how hilarious it all was.

We just watched the first 3 episodes of the newest season last night. And it’s fantastic, maybe as good as its ever been.

I've really gotten into Alone, I watched season 6 when it was on another streaming platform and finished season 1 on Hulu. This is not a show I usually get into - they drop 10 people to be alone in the wilderness and see how long they last. The participants have to film themselves so there isn't a film crew around. Each time someone has left the first day too (so far) , they get dropped off and are like "What was I thinking?"

The best part though is I watch it with my nine year old daughter who is really into Minecraft. She yells advice at the screen like they are in a Minecraft world:

"You need to dig a shelter underground first before the first night!"
"He needs a crafting table!"
"It does not matter where you fish just throw a line in the water!"

She knows what's up now but still loves to give the running Minecraft commentary.

Not a hidden gem or anything (or a remotely fun watch), but I have started to watch a remarkably well-made doc series about 9/11 called One Day in America. It is produced by National Geographic. It has some stunning footage of everything that happened along with some really great interviews. It is going to be too much for some , but I am enthralled. In the most horrified way possible.

Only Murders in the Building is pretty odd, but I'm enjoying it.

Same here. Steve Martin and Martin Short are brilliant.

First three eps of Y the Last Man are up and it’s as good as I hoped. It seems to have fixed a lot of the issues with representation in the comics that haven’t aged well and oooh boy is this show going to draw a lot of conservative hate.

I'm just going to say it... Dora and the Lost City of Gold is pretty fantastic. Check it out.

Don't overlook Selina Gomez and her dry-wit delivery as Mabel.

Mabel: "Right. You should wait. Plenty of time. You know, 70 is the new 40."
Charles: "I want you to be less mean."
Mabel: "I know you do."

I ended up watching this a couple of months ago when it came on after something else that I was half-watching. I have no children and was in college by the time Dora the Explorer was even a thing. I found it surprisingly enjoyable. Just a fun teen-oriented adventure movie kind of like Spy Kids but less dumb.

Only Murders in the Building continues to be an absolute joy. Currently my favorite show by far... at least until The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Better Call Saul come back.

I have kids including a toddler and I was glad because I knew I had someone to watch this with. I think it's fun.

Wife and I'm just finished our Brooklyn 99 rewatch and the final season. Wow, right up there w
As one of the best shows ever made and an ending that is so perfect for the show it could be called noice & or Toit. It was amazing. Even the first season finds it's legs pretty fast. It hits a solid theme for 8 seasons so well and had us both bucked with laughter more often than any show.

I hate to see it go but love how well it went out and tackled current topics in a way I wish was true in reality.

This same team put together parks and rec & good place. Such solid humor and topical story lines.

Watched it in a group of folks without kids and we still enjoyed it as well.

Although not being familiar with the show, when the fox character shows up a couple of us were genuinely baffled and debating whether this was a hallucination or dream sequence of some kind. But ultimately I appreciated that element being played so straight. Like, sure. This character exists, and everyone accepts that, haha.

Only Murders in the Building was incredible from beginning to end (the last episode aired yesterday). By far my favorite show of the year!

I am excited to watch the last episode. I loved it all except....Is Salina Gomez that bad of an actor or was she told to be this flat? That was our main complaint watching it she has absolutely no inflection in her voice and it's beyond obnoxious.

We loved the show!

I think Gomez was meant to be the deadpan straight-man to Martin and Short's goofiness. One thing I loved about it was they weren’t completely slapstick.

No matter what the reason she comes off as an awful actor. If there is going to be a 2nd season (I haven't watched the finale yet), I'm hoping they find a way to replace her.
