Downloaded and ready to try it out for free, available on Xbox and PC on gamepass.

Touch control is now available for Xbox Cloud Gaming on Apple phones/tables and Windows 10 PCs. No need for a controller when playing touch-enabled games.

Wow...any idea if there's a list of such games?

Gamepass app will list them all, if you install it.

Thanks...there's also a handy list at the bottom of the Cloud Gaming page...nifty!

Or this handy list.

Coming Soon to Xbox Game Pass: Microsoft Flight Simulator, The Ascent, and More

Recently they added 80+ games with touch controls, as linked above. Putting it here so it doesn't get glossed over.

Touch Controls: The full list of all supported Game Pass games.

Everybody's going to play Flight Simulator long enough to find their house, right?

Well NOW I will…

Is it better than Google earth? Because I’ve done that several times.

I'm excited The Ascent!

The Ascent looks very cool. Definitely looking forward to it.

There was still just a big field there last I checked, but that has been months ago.

I've had it pre-installed for a long time now. I've even tried launching it a few times hoping it might work.

Me too! Also, I could've sworn it said July 28 before, but now it says July 29 at 1PM (ET, I assume).

Last Stop, an Annapurna-published adventure game developed by the team that made Virginia, releases in a few hours. I'll definitely be trying that out!

Raji is absolutely worth a play

Oof! 97GB update for Flight Sim.

Sniper Elite 4 came out with their enhanced version today, free to everyone. It's a 4K/60 fps experience now on Series X (and PS5). I assume Series S doesn't get the update.

Oh, that's worth checking out again. I really enjoyed that game.

Can you say more? I started it last night but only got about ten minutes into it before heading to bed.

I played it on Switch and was underwhelmed. Maybe I gave up too soon?

I gave Last Stop about 20 minutes last night and I’ll go back again for a bit more later. I’m all into the story and one character I’ve played so far. Not such a big fan of the way the scenes cut and your character starts walking in a different direction, really ruins the immersion.

Also tried out Undermine and kept going back for just one more run. That’ll fill the rogue-lite niche until Hades hits.

I thought I’d really like CrisTales but turned it off after 5 minutes. It’s probably good but the combat timing didn’t click right away and I should go back to Octopath Traveller before I start another JRPG.

I recently tried Ikenfell. There might be an interesting game in there somewhere. The beginning was too much of a generic RPG. Also I have little patience for games that are as pixel-blocky as that.

I’m interested in Steam Deck but also most of the new PC games I play these days I get from pc game pass.

There was a rumor many months ago about Microsoft wanting to get game pass running on Switch and while game pass handheld sounded cool it also sounded like something Nintendo would never allow.

The Steam deck is a whole different thing. Yeah Xbox game streaming will work to the Deck’s browser but what I want is game pass PC games on it.

I’m looking around to see if someone has managed to get the Xbox app and some games running in Wine/Proton but I’m not optimistic.

Microsoft’s current policy of getting game pass on every device makes me wonder how open they’d be to helping Valve make this work but TBH I’m not sure how open Valve is to working on anything that doesn’t directly contribute to Steam sales.

Of course I can install Windows on the Deck and run the Xbox app directly. One reason I preordered the 256GB version was so I’d have done space for dual booting it Windows and Linux. I’m curious to see how well this works out and whether I ever go back to Linux once windows is working.

If someone gets Game Pass PC games working on the Steam Deck, then maybe they'll figure out how to get them added to Steam as a non-Steam game. I wanna use my Steam Controller for some of them...

I wonder if the Steam Deck can dual-boot...

There is a rather round about way to add GamePass games to Steam that requires either a lot of browser-fu or a download of an open source shell file. Let me go figure out what I did when I added Call of the Sea

I don’t see why not if it’s as open as they claim

I've seen instructions on how to do it, and a special piece of software that's supposed to automate a bunch of it, but I haven't been able to get them to work. I suspect that one of the companies changed something and broke whatever workaround people were using. Or I could just be cursed.
