Dark is, in my considered opinion, the best time travel story ever written.

It's a bit on-the-nose at times, though.

Note: I've still only watched S1. Apologies if this is covered ground in S2-3.

Please do come back to this after watching the rest.

Yeah got through a couple more Dark last night, s3e4. That's a twisted loop going there. And I'm starting to think the new stranger is...

Spoiler:

the origin baby?

The last couple episodes have been wild seeing

Spoiler:

everything this stranger x3, and Martha B, are doing to ensure things in Winden A happen as they already have.

Makes it look like the loop can't be broken with all they have done to start the loop.

I want to thank everyone that is posting about Dark and keeping it in spoilers tags.
I need to bounce back onto that show.

On a different note, I really enjoyed the Fear Street trilogy. It seems I do enjoy gore and horror. I also liked what Netflix tried; 3x 1.5hr episodes (or movies, if you will) all produced in a row was pretty neat.

I know it's in their interest to break down content to pursue their subscription model, but I really like how Fear Street was broken down. I would enjoy other adapted content in such a way.

Finally, a shoutout to the Castlevania animated series, that was way better than I expected it to be.
The banter between the three main characters was formidable, and I'm now an instafan of Alejandra Reynoso, her comedic timing as Sypha was brilliant on every line delivered.

Dark 3.5

WHAT THE f*ck?!

Gotta sleep but dying to see next tomorrow.

Hah, looking back through dark season 3 comments in the thread from last summer as I'm watching along. Looks like I declared on July 21 last year that I should start watching it but didn't get around to it until July this year. But should finish this weekend.

Spoiler:

Have you noticed how the sets in the alternate world are a mirror of the "first" world?

Wow this from January... season 3 early Dark spoiler.

I kept thinking something was wrong but couldn't quite place it.

Spoiler:

Martha's house what used to be Jonas house in Earth A. So definitely noticed that her bedroom was flipped.

But the kitchen downstairs I just kept thinking they were shooting from an opposite angle for a couple episodes. But yeah, obviously the stairs are on the other wall, it is a mirror!

Just saw the trailer for the new Masters of the Universe series. It looks better then I would have expected.

Watched Naomi Osaka and liked it. Not sure if people not already into her will like it.

I started in on Dark S2 last night, and it's definitely doing well to keep up the same pace as S1. I appreciate that, at least in the first two episodes, there haven't been any torrential rainstorms that the whole cast seemingly enjoys just standing in, unlike in S1.

Also, was The Mitchells vs. The Machines covered in this thread when it released back in April? Because if not, I heartily recommend it. I don't think I had even heard of it before yesterday, when I read that it's become Netflix's Biggest Animated Film to-date. Comedy, Action, Heartwrenching Drama, and

Spoiler:

a homicidal AI intent on wiping humans off the planet.

Invisible City was hella weird

Got a day off work so Dark 3.7, penultimate episode. Wow.

Spoiler:

Hanno/Noah... Bartotz and Silja, did not see that one coming.

And was that Hannah from earth A, with young Silja? So it's Egon's daughter? Not Hannah from Earth B carrying Ulrich's kid right?

That was a lot. And it looks like one person is wrong and one is right. But we shall see... final episode now!

Oh damn. Dark finale!

Ok I see what they setup in the penultimate now. Makes sense. Agree with others, solid ending, great show. Watch it.

Fear Street trilogy was really good horror and a pleasant surprise as I didn’t know anything going into it.

Cosmic Sin on the other hand is a crime against humanity and Bruce Willis’s family should be ashamed of themselves for letting him wander off like that.

One of us, one of us, one of us.

Glad you enjoyed it.

This might be the perfect description of Bruce Willis' carrier at this point.

Also, "at this point" might be 10 years long, I believe

We're yet to roll Part 3 but can concur that it has indeed been a pleasant surprise thus far. We saw it was trending or popular or whatever, noticed Maya Hawke, and Sadie Sink, amongst the cast, so took a gamble as we'd otherwise nothing else of interest. Worthy viewing. Good times.

Is it more Scream horror or The Conjuring horror?

I'm so excited about the third season of Glow Up coming at the end of the month. So excited.
Wish we'd get another season of The Big Flower Fight. Or Next in Fashion.

It’s a strange mix. It’s got a Stranger Things kind of pacing/feel to it and if you were to remove some of the gorier scenes I could totally see it being a YA series. I don’t know anything about the books but some of the scenes honestly shocked me with how brutal they were in comparison to how the rest of the movie was. I think that’s what made it work for me .. the supernatural aspect was central to the story but low key and in the background, moving things along.

PY put into words the appreciation I had for Fear Street; it feels light hearted except when the gore kicks in, and then back to happy teenagers with a plan!

I could barely finish the first Fear Street, which managed to be both aggressively pandering and at the same time boring.

Just finished Masters of the Universe: Revelation, and had a great time. I'll be curious to see what happens in the second half of the season, whenever it premieres.

Doh, I didn't know that was today. Could have been watching all afternoon.

Dark - I feel like I've been keeping up pretty well with all of the relationships so far, but something happened towards the end of S2E7 (hinted at; presumably explicitly stated in S2E8) that's making me seriously consider needing to make my own photographs-and-yarn wall.

Also, I laughed out loud in S2E4 (I think):

I'll be curious to hear what you think.

Well I love Mark Hamill. And Sarah M Gellar. Good voices.

Just watched 3 episodes. Interesting so far. Finish up later.

I thought you had a crazy marathon session this afternoon... but it's only 5 episodes, haha.

Truly, the power of Grayskull wasn't within the castle, it was just below it in the living room floors of our parents.

Really liked Masters of the Universe: Revelation but didn't at first. Episode just kept getting better. Callbacks to original series kept coming in. And a very surprising revelation that hinted about in the title. I think there was also a thundercats easter egg but could be wrong about that.

Major spoilers ahead. Like super mega spoiler. We talking Sixth Sense level of spoilers.

Spoiler:

This is actually a She-ra cartoon. Or a non he-man cartoon. He-man dies twice and is only in the show for about 10 minutes. Teela is shown to be some sort of special character with hidden power. Maybe she isn't She-Ra but it seems she will be the hero once she gets the sword of power from skull face Joker and evil harley quinn. I think this is why he-man isn't in the title.

And definitely no marathon, haha. Didn't even actually watch all five in one sitting, even though I could have.

As for Baron of Hell's spoiler...

Spoiler:

I had no issue with the focus of the show, unlike so many "fans" on the Internet. I really liked the team they get together because it was so unexpected. I mean, I'm sure if I was making a MOTU show I would have never chosen that group of characters to team up, so that was fun.

Is this in the same continuity as the She-Ra series?
