Well, half of the rebooting takes place after I log in so it wouldn’t work either. Plus windows likes to max out the processor, memory, and drives for a few hours too. This thing was disappointing when I started here 7 years ago and hasn’t gotten better. IT has new computers for our group but are missing one part before rolling them out.

Mine used to be like this. I got in the habit of rebooting it AFTER work and just leaving it running overnight so it was ready in the morning.
My work computer is like that as well. It is only a few years old (Dell Optiplex 5050 with an i7-7700), but the HDD in it is horrible. After a restart there is a Windows process that hits the HDD really hard causing it to spike at 100% utilization for 15-20 minutes. As far as HDDs go it is supposed to be decent (7200 RPM Seagate Barracuda) but SSDs have ruined me
