Do THC mints count? They’re still technically mints.

Agree with this 100% I am sick to death about hearing that Branson wend into space and that Bezos will soon.
Who the f*ck cares that billionaires can buy expensive sh*t? Why is that "news"

Because billionaire civilians being able to do expensive sh*t is a major step towards everyone being able to do that sh*t. Electricity, indoor plumbing, cars, flight, they all started out as expensive novelties for rich people. Yeah, there's better things they could spend their money on, but we're spending money that could feed starving children on video games. It's the fallacy of relative privation. It'd have a point if all we got out of this was billionaires having an adventure, but they're also employing a lot of engineers and advancing the field of space travel.

That's nice but maybe they should pay taxes.

Or pay their employees rather than milk it all for the stockmarket.

Ah, yes, trickle-down jobs.

Or we could fund NASA with the taxes he should be paying and employ those engineers, but sure, this is definitely working for society.

LOL, jinx

Sure, but even if we had their tax money, it's not like NASA would be properly funded. It'd just get diverted to defense contracts or spent equipping ICE.
Besides, they're rich enough that they could still be doing this even if they did pay the taxes they should.

I don’t think anyone would care about billionaires going to space if they were already paying taxes and if the billions and billions (and billions) of dollars they were hoarding were being put to better use.

Considering both times flying this summer my wife was seated next to different people who both literally had a tray full of Kleenex, cough meds, and other soothing items for their hack and snot masks forever on flights. No one is taking life seriously in airplanes.

I did that at an Arby's drive through once.

Arby's has corndogs?!

They have curly fries.

I had a purchase come to that at a 7-11 a year or two ago and was like, "Nice!" and the cashier gave me a knowing smile and a wink. Wish I had written down that order so I could get it again.
