[News] Post a D&D Picture

Previous incarnations of Cleveland/P&C/D&D have had an image thread, to handle political cartoons and other image-based stuff that doesn't belong in the general post-a-picture threads.

If any of them spawn an extended discussion, please spawn it off into its own thread. Replies to non-picture replies should take the form of a link pointing to a post on a different discussion thread.

And I shouldn't have to say it, but the images still need to abide by the rules.

Not sure anyone, working class or not, needs a gun. It should be a privilege, like driving, not a right. But if you can't afford to own a gun, then don't own a gun. I'd be perfectly happy charging $5000 a bullet as Chris Rock's excellent bit espouses.

There are obvious classism concerns with $5000 bullets, but at a bare minimum you reduce the likely gun-carrying population. Plus, if I have bajillion dollars, I think I’m less likely to use a gun for any violence I have planned; I’ll probably just use a lawyer.

So it comes down to lawyers, guns and money?

It’s not that difficult to make bullets. I’ve watched relatives make their own ammo and I could probably figure it out myself in a couple hours from scratch despite it being like 25 years ago. You’d also have to ban or jack up the prices on the three or four incredibly cheap and common components you need and that starts getting into shaky territory.

Are there things that don’t?

Did they leave cab money?

Please, we’re the USA. We left a Jeter-esque swag bag.

Spoiler:

Reference, because only my brain is broken in this way.

New York Yankee Hall of Fame Shortstop Derek Jeter gives autograph swag to one-night stands.

Since it's the picture thread, here's the timeline illustration from The Onion article:

I assume this must be fake because otherwise the judge is basically saying "Ah, yes, but you see, if we give justice to your case, then everyone else would demand justice as well. Can't have that now can we, haha."

Why would you post the meme instead of trying to find the real source of that meme if you think it's fake?

It is, in fact, true

The judge agreed that it was reasonable to expect that ensuring flight attendants’ safety would be a “natural corollary of Southwest’s promise to protect its customers,” however she said the “broader societal consequences” of imposing that duty are harder to justify. “Such a duty would significantly expand the field of potential liability,” the judge wrote.

Ben Garrison is not aware of who Don Quixote was, nor what “tilting at windmills” means.

That, or he’s a leftist now:

The "^ Trump" is soooo lazy. It's like he did it as an afterthought.

Here's the funny thing though: Garrison knows who Don Quixote is and he knows what "tilting at windmills" means.

These enemies of America are are not imaginary

Yes, I realize that the Don Quixote character from Cervantes’ novel attacked imaginary enemies as represented by the windmill, but Donald Trump Quixote’s enemies are not imagined.

They are all too real and dangerous.

The Marxist mainstream media may condemn Trump’s lawsuit as desperation and folly, but it’s happening and a major lawsuit against the social media leviathans is long overdue.

If you didn't know that he was a total right-wing nutjob, it almost seems like he's mocking the right-wing nutjobs. Also, according to the twitter image in this story, it's not even the first time he's gotten it wrong:

Far-right cartoonist gets Don Quixote wrong — and accidentally gets Donald Trump right

So he knows about Quixote but still draws the cartoon like that? So basically he prefers people know he's lazy than uneducated. I feel like these right-wing nutjobs know how mediocre they are, and are just afraid that with a level playing field for anyone but white cis males they would be unemployed within minutes.

Don Quixote was also a total prick who picked fights with people that he was sure he could whoop, but then Quixote often lost those fights and in return got whooped by the people he was trying to victimize.

Maybe Ben Garrison is a prophet.

I want to get a t-shirt with that on it.
Or maybe just "FNS".

Eff yeah

I am sure minority communities have felt this way for a long time but now it is just moving into the general consciousness

The marked out portions of the comment are the interesting bits. Basically agreeing that the US is a racist country and was from its founding.
