I forgot my MOST anticipated fall release, Age of Empires 4. Still playing AOE2 and AOE3 a couple times a month so very excited for the next generation evolution of the series!

I installed Forza after hearing you all talk about it. I love how it pulls in your real name.

I said my favorite car was the Porche Carerra but it's actually the Porche Cayman!

I've been tracking my games played for GOTY purposes and it's fun to check in at the halfway point. But so far, oddly, just about everything I've played is from 2020 or earlier: Miles Morales, 13 Sentinels, Carto, and Sekiro.

For 2021 releases I only have the Nier and Mass Effect re-releases, and for new games played in 2021 I only have Bravely Default 2, which I stalled out on.

I still have my eye on some 2021 releases, including NEO:TWEWY this month and later on, Sable and Metroid Dread. And it's an easy bet that I'll enjoy a new Shadow Tactics expandalone.

Love seeing Forza Horizon featured in the podcast and on our Twitch channel. If there's people playing, we can do a multiplayer session. The playground games can be lots of fun and we can just cruise around and hang out or do some races.

Also, there is a GWJ club in the game. However, I cannot see who the owner is and I made a request to join a while ago that never got accepted. Anybody happens to know who the owner is? Otherwise, I created a Racing Dorks club that people are welcome to join if they want (the tag is RDOR). If you go to search club and type GWJ, you should find both of them. I'm not sure if you can join more than one at the same time, though. Hopefully this carries into FH5 when it comes out.

One correction on Ender Lillies - the game is bigger than it first appeared. I think it is more of a 30-40 hour experience, pending on the level of completionism you want from it. It also does get more challenging later on, but, again, the ability to just keep leveling up and the lack of punishment for dying makes it feel a lot more forgiving than Hollow Knight or other games in its genre.

On mid-year recap, of the games mentioned in the podcast, Cozy Grove and Loop Hero are high on my list. I am almost at 100 days on Cozy Grove and I've played it for a while on every single day since I've bought it. It's definitely a challenger for my GOTY.

Other games that launched this year and will probably be on my list come December:

NERTS! Online was a fantastic surprise from Zachtronics and an ideal pandemic game for a break from working at home.

It Takes Two is one of the best coop experiences I've had in a game despite the awful writing.

Before Your Eyes is the first (I believe) blinking simulator. The game is a "walking sim" type adventure where you interact with the game by having your webcam scan your blinking. It actually works.

Dorfromantik is a wonderful and relaxing puzzle game that people have discussed in the podcast before.

Some stuff that I'd want to mention even though I don't think they'll make my year-end list:

Adios is a really cool short narrative game with an amazing premise, but I don't think it clicked with me as much as it did with other people. It's still one of the best reviewed games on Steam this year.

Room to Grow is yet another cool twist on Sokoban-style puzzles and I gotta hove some of those every year.

Rain on Your Parade is a delightful little game that picks up where Untitled Goose Game left off.

Unbeatable [white label] is a cool rhythm game with an absolutely incredible art style and really good music that needs some difficult rebalancing for my taste because the regular difficulty is too hard for me but the easy mode is too easy for me.
