For those not in the know, I can't confirm that sign, but the distances are plausible, and this sign is accurate. The Poland on the signs has a rather well known spring.

When I was younger I wanted to be a spider-faced bear riding a giant spider…

Huh, it's a small world.

As Sweden is 79 miles one way, and 232 the other way, one could surmise that the circumference of the earth is 153 miles.

The bottom Sweden is actually New Sweden.

Spoiler:

You can come on in, we're all fully vaccinated. Except the spare room off the living room. Don't go in there, we're not fully vaccinated in there.

I thought three weeks between doses, then another couple of weeks, was plenty of time to catch up on cleaning. I was wrong.

I've been to Zion. It is incredible.

Sorry, I know this is old, but I’m just catching up. Have been there as well and it’s so beautiful that in some places it seems almost unreal.

Mostly sequels. How was that a wild time?

I also think a bunch of those were just good, middling, or bad.

Looking through the 2011 list it's crazy that Dragon Age II, Mortal Kombat, and Bastion wouldn't be included. Personally, I love Magicka, Bulletstorm, Dead Island, and Orcs Must Die! as well.

so on the places with names of other places:

Spoiler:

Key West, Virginia is not to be confused with Key, West Virginia.

This could be done just for Maine. I have always though it would be interesting to have a fantasy world where there are portals between places with the same name (but places are named like they are in our world and no one names places to take advantage of this). If that were the case, Maine would be a hub of world travel.

There are a ton of small towns named London or Paris. Here in Oklahoma we have a town named Prague... but of course we don't pronounce it like the city it is named after. We don't say Prahg we say Praygh.

Just across the river from St. Stephen New Brunswick there is a town that people in Maine call 'Callis'

Spoiler:

Spelled Calais

I have heard, but have no sourcing that many towns named Berlin changed their pronunciation to BUR-lin intentionally during one of the world wars. Both the one in Massachusetts and the one in New Hampshire pronounce it like this with the emphasis on the first syllable.

California has Delhi too. And of course they pronounce it Del HIGH ;P

That's how New Prague, Minnesota is pronounced. Real dumb.

:looking real hard at the way Massholes pronounce cities in their state, just to be different from the English:

There is a tradition in Michigan, of driving from Hell, Michigan, up to Paradise, Michigan, and then back to Hell.

Not to be undertaken lightly, It's a 5-hour drive one way.

Most people start in Hell, as it's close to most of the major cities (Lansing, Detroit, etc.).

(and you can shudder at how Michiganders pronounce Milan, Michigan...something like MY-len)

Took this while driving, for some reason it made me smile:

Holy cow, I had no idea I did this too...

A side note, I used to really enjoy wearing my "Czech me out" shirt and it had the country map with Prague on it. Some guy randomly stopped me once and said "excuse me, it's pronounced "pra-hey"..."

So I guess throw that in the mix as well.

Maybe he meant or heard Praha? Czech family here, and it's another way locals say the name. Also as an aside they all despise the new Czechia name for the country.

Drawings and sketches I made recently.

This is the best. Anyone who signs up on stack exchange should be forced to read it.

The first person to need help with that issue and report the post should get to pull the lever.

My eternal beef with stack exchange is when I ask how to use A to do 1, the responses are that you shouldn't use A, and you shouldn't do 1, and then to detail how to use B to do 2, thus answering a different question.

See, your real problem is using Stack Exchange in the first place. Instead you should head on over to our very own Game Deals thread and stock up on some discounted video games! That there's a serious quality of life improvement in just a few clicks.
