It is hard to parody the game business when it is already so scumy.

At least Devolver isn't quite close enough that Poe's law kicks in

Hellpoint is free on GOG for the next 24 hours. Deal is on the front page.

OK, perhaps Devolver's marketing parody that I posted earlier isn't to everyone's taste. The subscription is part of the 'joke' but if you missed it their games are all on sale over on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/sale/...

Also over on Fanatical is a decent bundle for £3.49 (around $5)
https://www.fanatical.com/en/bundle/...

Tactical turn-based battles Battlestar Galactica Deadlock
Story-rich fantasy RPG Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition
Noir adventure Blacksad: Under the Skin
Strategy sim management Railway Empire
Strategy RPG Tower of Time
hack ‘n slash adventure RPG Undead Horde
Co-op multiplayer Out of Space

I've played and enjoyed Battlestar Galactica Deadlock, I'll probably pick up the bundle for the others.

Sleepy Dogs is also down to $3, I see.

Tower of Time is easily worth the $5 in that bundle. One of those games that is decent but never seemed to reach enough people.

I was sure I'd played it, and had to trawl through all of my game clients before I found it on GoG. Definitely worth it to scracth that action RPG diablo like itch!

Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is at an all time low of $30 on Switch. Deku deals link says Gamestop and Amazon.

I picked it up. I figure if I don't love it at least it is physical so I can trade it in.

Absolute Drift is free on GOG for the next 46 hours. Deal is on the front page.

Free on Epic this week: Hell is other demons AND Overcooked! 2

Free on Epic next week: Horizon Chase Turbo AND Sonic Mania

Aww crap did the Epic sale end today? I meant to use that $10 coupon on at least one thing

I'm afraid so. I was tempted to use it on something like Industries of Titan, but ultimately didn't pull the trigger.

I'm glad I get the email notifications from GOG about their giveaways. Game the freebie Hellpoint a spin the other night. It's alright as indie Soulslikes go. Nothing really new mechanically but the Hellraiser-ish aesthetic is cool.

Sega is offering a free copy of NiGHts Into Dreams as part of their 60th celebration. Looks like you can get it on multiple platforms.

Rahter than post one game I am posting this video because it lists lots of Switch games on sale - Hades, Alien Isolation, Skyrim to name a few.

Persina 5, Royal for $25. That’s a whole lot of game for cheap

Excellent typo, fits the series.

Cyberpunk PS4 or 5 is $20 at best buy with the steel box. Worth it on PS5? I really enjoyed Witcher 3.

Is this playable on the PS4? Have the bugs been worked out?

It's still unlisted on the Sony store. So...

I’m gonna wait until it’s free on GOG in six years.

I’m only half joking. $20 is a good price, but there’s no way I’d ever buy on PS4. Even if I grabbed for PS5 I’d still wait another year for all the DLC.

Castlevania Collection and Contra Collection for the Swirch are $4.99 each until tomorrow (6-21.)

Returnal for PS5 is down to $50 at Best Buy

Edit: Demon's Souls on sale too.

And Spider-Man Miles Morales on sale at Amazon for prime day

It was just relisted today.

Still some jank, but don't expect a ton of great performance on the PS4.

I have a desire to solo play a fighting game. Soulcalibur VI and Mortal Kombat 11 are currently on sale. One is clearly cheaper than the other but I want to know which is better to solo play on PC.

Thank you.

Hmm. At the moment, it's far from clear that the DLC will be worth the wait. The latest version of the CDPR roadmap states that the DLCs will comprise "small additional content". There is no suggestion that we'll be seeing anything on the scale of 'Blood and Wine' and 'Hearts of Stone' expansions.

Of course, it is perfectly possible that CDPR are deliberately deflating expectations so that they can leave us all stoned by something epic later this year. But, given the speed with which they've rowed back on this game (for example, by completely ditching any multiplayer content), I just don't see it. I'm expecting new weapons, items and vehicles.

Also...

Spoiler:

given that V dies in almost every ending of the main game, presumably there will be a different protagonist and an entirely new story.

Despite having a massive soft spot for Soul Calibur (and thinking it has the tighter fighting mechanics), Mortal Kombat easily wins out. My partner, who has zero interest in the series made me promise not to play when she wasn't around so she could watch all the movies. It's big and dumb in all the right ways, and has a surprisingly gripping story.

It really felt like watching a big dumb action flick. I adored it.
