Nah, Fuji X-T3 and an Xf-80 macro lens

Rad! *Pulls out Animal Crossing net*

Is that leg sticking up in the air?

Dude, I think she was hitting on you.

Well it is A*hole fly season again. Those little back ones that love to come inside and buzz my ears/nose.

On the plus side a new spider friend has taken up residence in the prime fly hunting spot and already gotten a good number of them. We need an inspirational name for my tiny spider friend to aim for.

You know like Peyton, slayer of flies, devourer of fools.

I popped into reverse to back up into the driveway and jumped out of my seat. That guy was wriggling around like crazy. We laughed so hard after. Glad I had a passenger to witness this.

Brown recluse spiders are no joke either and they are in the US. It isn't just the land down under.

but much rarer that people think. They did a study and found that most "brown recluse bites" were actually misdiagnosed staph infections.

I saw the prettiest looking spider I've ever seen this weekend while cutting back some trees. Unfortunately, the camera on my phone is terrible, so I didn't get a good picture, but it looked a lot like the one below, only more of a wavy stripe pattern. It was happily munching on some bugs it had caught in its web. It was a weird sort of peacefulness - just sitting back watching it do its thing.

Looks like a St Andrew's Cross spider. They're common on the east coast but only rarely seen around Perth, which is probably why you didn't recognise it. Not venomous.
