Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr (Catch All)

You get so much loot in the game don’t worry about spending a lot of time analyzing the minutiae. Look at the overall number and higher is usually better. Especially when leveling early you won’t use it for too long anyway and as you get up in levels you will just start selling or salvaging all of the lesser rarities and it becomes easier to manage.

Yeah, tons of loot a la Diablo and less Borderlands where you've gotta be selective.

And when you get to the point where you can craft and modify stuff, you'll have learned what the special items are (and there's even a set of systems where you can skew the odds for a mission towards certain rewards). My advice is just to play, do what seems best at the time and let the game open up around you. I found the combinations of weapon/armor/gear types to be more important than their exact specs, anyway.

Yup, play, put stuff on with bigger numbers, try different weapons and abilities. Sell all the other stuff you get in the lower rarity levels.

Crafting takes a lil while to unlock and you'll be ready for it when it does.

Thank you. Great game. Having now discovered the inventory sorting and selling buttons has made management easier.

Yay, so glad you're enjoying it!

Holy crap y'all, a TON of stuff is coming with the next season.

The big one is co-op void crusades, but so much more is being added it's insane.

July 6th! Glory to the Emperor!

I've been holding off making a new character, waiting for the new season. Is there a place where folks discuss builds for the upcoming season, like with POE?

If not here then their discord.

Is it expected to play through the campaign each Season, or is that the point of Void Crusades acting like a form of "adventure mode" akin to those found in Diablo 3?

Yeah new characters gotta play through the campaign for a spell until side missions and void crusades get unlocked.

Okee dokee, was kind of expecting that. Thanks for confirming.

@Veloxi: Sooo, what class/build are you thinking of running this time?

Gonna at least try a tech adept since they're changing it so much, might also roll my favorite, the assassin.

I picked this up for the Xbox since it was on sale and wow it’s really good. Shame it seems to have gone under the radar as it’s the best Warhammer game I’ve ever played.

I can power level people on Xbox. Got an adept up to lvl 94.

Not the seasons, sorry. Should have mentioned that.

Took a year of patching to get the combat up to snuff. It was a bit harder to love at launch.

yeah I picked it up at launch on the PC and played a few hours and said meh and forgot about it.. glad I saw the sale and getting all the DLC's, Season mode, and all the tweaks and improvements made a huge difference.. it sucked me in within a few minutes.

Hope they get the ability to make a sequel.

Lord me too. The post-launch support they've been giving it makes me hopeful.

Oh I forgot you could skip the first tutorial missions and go directly to level 7. Nice.

Wow the Tech Adept is a LOT crunchier this time, as are his constructs.

I'm weird in that I've never minded the prologue to Martyr. Figure I'll use these filler missions to get a feel for the Psyker who I've only ever put 10 minutes into.

Oh I've played through them a bunch of times and still enjoy them my own self, I just like that the option is there to skip 'em.

In a nutshell, what’s so much better about the game since launch? I picked it up last sale and I think it’s great.

There was a big 2.0 patch that reworked almost everything. It added in-mission inventory management, more straightforward leveling (rather than the power level system that had come before it) and a lot more I can't even remember. It was massive. It's just been getting better since.

This might help: https://neocoregames.com/en/communit...

Thank you. They say timing is everything. I’m glad I picked it up when I did.
Good game.
