If this is at all interesting to you, check out the Tamsyn Muir's Locked Tomb trilogy. Book one is called Gideon the Ninth, and has been described by some as "lesbian necromancers in space".

Not the Kickstarter thread, but this reminds me of an RPG that is live on there right now who's setting is "Meatpunk."
And because picture thread:

Our own Mike Sands is quoted in one of the descriptions and he didn't tell us about it?!

I would kill for a ghost to do that in our house. Especially if that means the ghost can hang the pictures with some creepy banging noises.

Spoiler:

I don't think my house is haunted, but I live in America and my entire nation is a burial ground for native people, former slaves, and other abused groups, so there are plenty of options for spirits that cannot rest.

I think I'd need the ghost to rent us a storage unit.

That's a trademark violation.

Parody falls under Fair Use, which applies to trademarks as well as copyrights.

Two lawyers I asked both said trademark violation, not due to confusion but unlicensed use. It may imply that Korn, the band, endorses this corn. Which it probably doesn't.

It's still protected by fair use. There's nothing indicating that it is band-endorsed corn, and is clearly using the band's trademark to in a parody to highlight the corn's "hardcore flavor". Korn could sue a grocery store for trademark infringement with that argument, but they'd very likely lose.

Hey! This is America!

It depends on who can afford a better lawyer.

I'm going to take this opportunity to post ye olde Rules Lawyer.. (forgive the "Front of Shirt")

Fun fact, this used to be my forum avatar here...

Rather than repost every image I encourage you to go here - https://imgur.com/gallery/8BAKFug it is very nice.

I will post the first one so you know what is going on in case you are warry but it is a wholesome link.

Those look almost like the art style of old Hardy Boys books.

Edit: The weird-but-not-NSFW-weird artwork, of course.

Harrow would be a bone mech with meat armor with additional bone armor on top.

Just a Baby Drinking Coffee

Now can we get this in the US? I have had to calculate loan amounts far, far, far more often than I have needed to find the area of a triangle or the volume of a cube.

My wife teaches Family and Consumer Science (what we used to call Home Economics back in the day) in a high school. Sadly all the classes she teaches (Culinary, Sewing, Personal Finance, Human Growth & Development, and a couple of others I think) are electives. I really think they should make many of these required classes (and in some parts of the country they are actually doing this) and maybe drop some of the current requirements (the only algebra I have ever used was stuff I learned in 6th and 7th grade for instance, but I was forced to memorize the damn quadratic equation despite nobody ever being able to explain why it was something I needed to know).

I say this as a history major - they could easily make anything pre 1900 history electives and not do a damm thing to a students ability to get a job and function in society.

Meanwhile knowing how to handle loans is something we will all use
