Man, the Alt-Right really "won" long-term, didn't they? A huge chunk of their notions and ideas are basically becoming mainstream conservatism.

Let me tell you about Reconstruction...

yeah... about that... never mind!!!

(CNN)Conservative Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is scrapping the planned launch of her "America First" caucus after receiving blowback from leaders in her own party, despite confirming through a spokesperson on Friday that the caucus would launch.

Maybe they should quit beating around the bush and replace "Anglo-Saxon" with "Aryan" next time.

The pro-fascism ones are.

This is a limited time offer.

Hold your breath all....The jury on Chauvin has reached a verdict.

i can’t breath

I think guilty on all counts is the only verdict that will hopefully prevent riots.

Or lead to a different segment of the population rioting, one or the other.

When white folks do it it is not a riot.

Guilty on all three charges.

Good.

It's a start...

Now we just need 160ish years of every police killing trial going this way and we might actually make some progress as a country.

It is so goddamn sad I am so happy and relieved about this. I hope to feel this same way about Kim Potter as well within the next year when they convict her for murdering Daunte Wright.

I can't wait to see Fox news and others say how great it was that justice was done. A fair and free trial, with a jury by his peers.

*chuckle*
We all know when the law doesn't support them they turn on "law and order" quick enough to make your head spin. Look at Jan 6th, when courts don't back up white folks they are perfectly willing to toss out any pretense of law.

So instead I dread how white nationalists will turn this into another reason to hate "liberals" and "democrats" and.... well everything about America except their special place in it.

Excellent. Now let's see if we can get to the point where we can hold police brutality accountable when the crime isn't on tape from more camera angles than an NFL replay booth.

Right before the verdict was announced 210 Republican Representatives voted to censure Rep. Maxine Walters for saying over the weekend that people should "stay in the street" and "get more confrontational" if Chauvin was acquitted.

10 Republicans voted to impeach Trump for his role in the January insurrection where multiple people, including a cop, were killed.

If the Minneapolis PD said what he did was within the rules of their department, he would've walked.

Feels so big and yet so small all at once. But it’s got me tearing up.

As the father of a black child, I am shocked.

This. Progress, even a little bit.

They will anyway.

They will appeal though based on the defence attorney mentioning the politician's comments.

If it wasn't for BLM, Derek Chauvin would be free right now.

William G. Porter
Caesar R. Goodson Jr.
Garrett E. Miller
Edward M. Nero
Brian W. Rice
Alicia D. White

All names you probably don't know because they skated after murdering Freddie Gray.

If it wasn't for BLM and years of protests, we wouldn't know Derek Chauvin either.

The protests are working.

Good verdict but it is still upsetting knowing nothing would have happen if the one kid didn't record the murder on her cellphone.

Though my understanding is that kind of thing holds zero water. (They'll appeal, but politicians talking about things isn't something they allow appeals for.) Plus we're used to civil lawsuits going back and forth, but criminal cases very rarely get overturned on appeal.

Now would be a really good time for Chauvin's defense attorney to research his client's swim times.
