Trailer Catch All

Neat!!! That's a series, not a movie, right?

Seems to be. They’re making movie quality trailers for shows now aren’t they.

Thunder Force

Yep, the live action Dynasty Warriors movie looks like Bollywood levels of absurdity.

I don't know about Bollywood, but that footage may have been taken straight from the game. My only real foray into the DW series was Samurai Warriors, but in that game I played a 5'5" teenage girl in a pink kimono that used a large yoyo to slaughter over 100 soldiers on each map.

I don't understand. No space ships. No weird alien invaders. Maybe I didn't play the version of Thundeforce this is based on.

Vanquish (2021 Movie) Official Trailer – Morgan Freeman, Ruby Rose

That is clearly not a movie about a DARPA special forces soldier in a badass robot suit.

What is with movies just straight up stealing video game titles? First Thunderforce. Now Vanquish.

Right? I was so disappointed.

It looks ok but now I want Ruby Rose DARPA agent.

Watching this I am stuck by how morose and depressing action films are now.

I feel like it is the same plot as Commando but a lot more sad than Arnold was.

Well modern actions films seem to want to humanize their killing machine action hero. Lets spend 30 min with the sibling/daughter/whoever is going to be killed/badly hurt by the bad people so you get to know them. Oh my did they get hurt by the baddies what a shock...lets spend 20 min with them in the hospital being sad. Now an action movie can start.

I find that this or the soldier with PTSD version often make me drop the movie as the average action is not worth poor attempts to make the killing ok.

Matrix was human! He was like a father to me!

Lucius Fox teams up with Batwoman and there's not a single shot of her in the bat suit?

See also: most every '80s action movie. Chuck Norris lost so many girlfriends/wives/daughters/female friends.

Life in Color with David Attenborough

It‘s not like the first Space Jam was Criterion Collection material, but this just does not feel right.

LeBron James and family gets trapped in HBO Max?

Edit: No, seriously. The whole movie appears to be set inside HBO Max.

... that's definitely a tad different than how Tim Sale drew the comic back in the day.

Granted I haven't watched one of these things since Batman: Year One. But they always seem so cheaply made and voice-acted. Or it could just be that it isn't my style and I'd prefer to just read the comics instead of seeing an adaptation. But that Tim Sale art is so iconic, I don't think I'd want someone trying to ape his style or anything, but this just feels off.

Animated Batman is all wrong without Conroy and Hamill.

Can't wait!

Mortal Kombat Trailer 2021 Breakdown and New Reboot Movies Easter Eggs

*saw some footage in this one I hadn't see yet.

I thought Raiden was supposed to be French?

I think we passed peak "zombie" stories and it is time to move on.

*or peak Kenny Rogers and we need to stop using that song. Maybe that is what put me off.

oh, absolutely.
but this still looks dumb-fun as hell.

It's easy to make fun of Netflix original productions, but I don't think I've ever seen anything comparable to the technical brilliance of the action sequences in Extraction and 6 Underground in any recent or mainstream cinema.

Jet Jaguar! That's a deep cut.
