Random non sequitur posts catch-all thread

I would love a real time cholesterol and blood pressure monitor.

After 12, I'm worse than a Gremlin Feed me hip-hop and I start trembling.

On November 2019 I bought six plants. One spider pant, four succulents and venus flytrap. The spider plant and one succulent survived my death touch. Have my hands become life hands? Or is death waiting around the corner for my surviving plants? I don't know. I do know a new day has come. Hope has returned to the world. I might travel the lands planting seeds everywhere I go.

Spider plants can survive nuclear winter. It is known.

Sure but then they start taking the "spider" part of their name literally.

I agree, they get more attractive the better you know their behaviors.

Speaking of spiders... the new Obsidian game Grounded (currently in early access) has an arachnophobe mode where spiders are changed into something else (not sure what, haven't had a chance to try it yet*). Since your characters are like one cm tall in the game, encountering a spider would probably induce cardiac arrest in some arachnophobes.

* Here's a tweet with a video showing the effects of the spider slider:

With every lie, the human soul dies just a little bit.

I was exploring in Satisfactory after having not played for a while and apparently my spider filter reset so instead of hearing cute cat sounds and seeing a cat image I hear the scuttling and see a giant spider creature trying to eat my face. Scared the crap out of me.

Those weird flesh spiders are VERY off putting, and I am actively a spider lover.

I didn’t think there was a word you can add to spiders to make me hate them more but I was wrong. “Flesh spiders” is a thing my brain now knows.

Where was the spider transformation in that Nioh level I played a week or two ago? Ugh.

Bloodborne has a spider moment or two.

Million dollar idea: An augmented reality app that deepfakes John Malkovich's face onto every single person in your view in real-time.

EDIT - and all the audio is converted to malkovich malkovich malkovich, of course.

Did someone recently watch "Being John Malkovich"?

The opposite happened - I bought the movie after having that random thought pop into my head, precisely because it's been at least a decade since I last saw it.

Bought a bag, clamp picker, and a pointy picker to pick up trash while walking. If you don't hear from me it is probably because I was shot by cops thinking my trash picking stick was a gun. Please finish picking up the trash on my block to remember me.

At first I was like “hey cool, what a great idea!”

And then I was like “damn that got real quickly.”

No good deed shall be left unpunished.

I was just watching Star Trek: The Motion Picture and I realized it always bothered me that the Enterprise’s deflector dish didn’t seem to fully power up for several hours after it left space dock. I mean, WTF Kirk?!

The first twitter post read "Now I am become death the destroyer of Worlds." The second twitter post was a comment calling the first poster a idiot for bad grammer. Yes he misspelled grammar.

Someone should have tweeted calling the second poster an idiot for bad speeling.

Keeping super glue in the refrigerator makes it last longer. Please don't eat super glue.

I knew buying those milk chocolate eggs at Walmart was a mistake. And yet I did it anyway.

Mmmhh, chocolate.

If you've seen stuff all over the internet about the new "Framing Brittney Spears" documentary and want to see what the fuss is all about:

1) It's on Hulu- not Netflix
2) You need to search for "New York Times Presents"- and the Brittney Spears episode is episode 6

I hope I saved someone a google search.

I haven't seen it yet, and I'm not going to take us to D&D beyond saying, even looking at it in retrospect, boy howdy did we (as a society) do her dirty.

I love me some Brittany, Female Doggo!
