A Warhammer 3 tease??

Fingers crossed for steep discounts on Warhammer II when/if the announce 3. :)

My thoughts exactly. I’ve been holding off on buying since I still haven’t even done all the factions in the first one.

Oh boy. I have to set TWH aside from time to time as it consumes all of my gaming bandwidth. When TWH3 releases ... well if there are chaos dwarves available this may be my only game for quite some time.

Tried to start a Bretonnia game several times. Maybe I'm just bad, but geez their starting setup seems pretty sh*t. Instant event which gives -20 control for many turns? Enemies who won't field armies and sit inside settlements you have no hope of seiging? Other Bretonnian factions which outright refuse to allow me military access so I can fight the nearby undead? It really has it all...

Well now that you say that. I do remember something about that. I think i got lucky and managed to take that nice port city to the east of Bretonnia's starting place pretty quickly after a few restarts. Once I had that it was much easier to expand as I had a decent income.

Chaos is stirring...can it be the 4 Chaos gods and WH3??

Edited to add another tease above. Things are looking like a potential trailer tomorrow!

Marienburg is an economic powerhouse for Empire or Brettonia, get them as soon as possible. They are also pretty belligerent so jumping them from behind can be key.

When I played Bretonnia years ago, I just immediately killed that orc settlement which ends the event then went and sieged Marienburg until starvation made it capturable. My friend who played just tanked the event and went straight for Marienburg so that they didn't have an army and he could take the city without waiting. I think the key point for Couronne early game is move to your western border, recruit as many units as you can, then either kill the orcs or kill Marienburg. From there the game kind of opens up depending on what the other factions start doing. In my game, Mousillon actually killed Lyonese while I was busy with Marienburg, so they were my second target.

700 hours in WH2 and I have yet to play Bretonnia otherwise I'd provide some advice. Looks like I will have to remedy that!

Have seen quite a bit of speculation that the recent trailers are in fact teasers for a Kislev DLC rather than Warhammer 3. That would be disappointing for me.

Edit: then again I've also read that in the lore, the end times started on Geheimnisnacht, which would point to a much bigger announcement than a straightforward DLC.

By the way I've noticed something weird... Myself, whispa, Nathaniel, Math and heretk all have black and white avatars with no colour. Does it say something about us that we are all also drawn to Warhammer?

The human mind is conditioned to look for patterns, even when they happen coincidentally, but I still thought it was amusing.

I mean its all four chaos gods and kislev. If thats a DLC , I'll eat my hat. Or frankly, that's such a choky DLC, it might as well be a new game.

Started a Vampire campaign and am enjoying being evil. Finished off the other vamp factions and, after consolidating my holdings, will begin the campaign against the Empire.

Any tips on tactics for the vampire armies? So far I just throw my skelebros and zombuddies at them then have direwolves/bats flank around to hit the rear.

Warhammer 3 it is then. Contain yourselves!

Omg take my money!

The dude at the very end looked dead real to me, at first glance. That is some fine CGI work for a game trailer.

I haven't been this stoked for a cinematic trailer/game in quite a while. Bring it!

Bloodthirsters and Bear Cavalry. 10/10

Cathay!

Great article from PC Gamer about WH3.

Ye gods. A mortal empires campaign in WH3 might just make my old PC lay down and not get back up.

VC is all bout the monsters. Lock up the enemy with cheap skeletons and zombies and then death from above with vargheists, by flanking with bats/dire wolves. Later in the campaign you get access to Blood Knights, which are top tier cavalry by any measure.

It's good ol classic taste

and that trailer was amazing! So we are to expect at least 2 more DLC for WH2 and then on to WH3. So with the 4 Chaos gods, Kislev and Cathay, who is the pre order faction? Is it Ogre Kingdoms, Chaos Dwarfs, or...halflings?

Edited since I read the FAQ and 4 chaos gods, Kislev and Cathay are in full release and not the pre-order faction.

Damn, its cool that they actually get to fully develop their own faction. I wonder how much Three Kingdoms factors into it.

I am pretty sure there is only one WH2 DLC left before WH3 comes out. The DLCs have always had two factions in them, and recently that has been an old world and new world faction. I am really excited for WH3 to come out.

As for the Vampire Count tactics, their early game is all about bogging the enemy down with your cheap, replaceable skeletons/zombies and using your monsters to crush the flanks. Your lords and heroes are the key to keeping your army in the fight as they are insanely strong.

The diminutive form of my current mood is ‘excited’.

Don't hold back!

Fanatical has 3 for 18% off AND it looks like a 7th race is included as a preorder bonus.

After finishing two campaigns in WH1 I went ahead and bought WH2. Started a High Elf campaign (Vortex) and boy oh boy, the improvements between games are fantastic.

Haven't got any DLC for 2 yet, but the Tomb Kings are looking mighty tempting...

Tomb Kings are a great faction because their mechanics are so different.

WH2 is so good. Check out the Steamworks mod scene. Great quality of life and interface improvements.
