DC Catch-All [Spoiler Zone]

Oh also Cavill gets my vote

Wonder woman was better than what I thought it was going to be after reading all the negative news but it doesn't top Shazam. The best one yet.

I think they handled the changeover to Javicia Leslie as well they could, and if this the closest we're ever get to a live-action Batman Beyond, I'm here for it, though...

Spoiler:

... Batmobile made out of a Camaro, not so much.

Spoiler:

Or Corvette, maybe? Either way, Chevy, DC and the CW ought to start offering after market kits while people are still stuck at home with time on their hands.

I tired to get a good look at it, but there was never any good lighting.

Spoiler:

It looked like the new Corvette to me.

On behalf of everyone else in this thread who hasn’t started this season yet and is avoiding spoilers:

That’s what she said.

I'm not liking the new Batwoman but I didn't like Ruby's version at first either. If I would have cast her I would have went with the actress that played Tara on True Blood. She was also lady cop on the Flash. That is her actual name, Lady Cop. Or maybe lady that played Vixen on Legends of Tomorrow. Or even had it be the ex girlfriend.

The story is kind of dumb in a bad way. It would have made more sense to me if a current character became the new batwoman or take one from a different universe that was already established.

I liked the batmobile. Good take on it for a modern tv show.

Based on the episode I watched last night,

Spoiler:

I think it's just a black C7 Corvette, not the new C8.

Edit: IMCDB agrees: https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_147148...

Lady Cop was an actual character: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lady...

Superman & Lois | All Right Now | Season Promo | The CW

Superman and Lois looks interesting.

Superman is always more interesting when he has to deal with humanity, if only due to the incredible power level disparity between him and almost everyone else he faces.

I can't wait for this to come out...

Spoiler:

...so we can see how bad it is and move on with our lives!

Also, why is the trailer 4:3?

I couldn't even dredge up the energy to say, "meh".

So apparently the aspect ratio is the iMax aspect ratio and that's how the movie is coming out. Despite that I found myself thinking this isn't looking too bad until The Joker :puke:

The whole movie? How many people have an iMax screen at home?!

... the people who made the movie?

Well, I like it because it's the aspect ratio of the iPad Pro screen on which I will watch it.

I think I fell asleep in the middle of the first one, so the aspect ratio's probably not a big deal for me.

If you fall asleep watching a movie in 4:3, you dream in 4:3.

They really need to let the colorist do their work before they send out these trailers. They're a crucial part of the process. Otherwise:

Batwoman season 2 episode 4

Best look so far at the car for those wanting a better look. This episode has the batwoman chasing down a missing kid and flashing back to a time she was kidnapped. I thought the episode was okay, best of the season so far. No new problems but my overall problem with the show is that the power comes from the suit. This episode did try to balance out the character a bit by having her solve most of the mystery as herself without the suit.

Snyder cut -

I watched it again in bits while at work and the problem with the movie isn't the editing. It is the story. It is the way they try to jam all these characters into one movie rather than developing them. The whole Cyborg character is just rushed and makes no real sense, same with Aquaman and Flash. Now the others have a bit stronger development because they were in other movies but it still feels poorly done.

And the villain - as someone who hasn't read the comics I am left bewildered. It is just horrible. While Marvel isn't the be all of superhero movies they at least took a long, long time to flesh out Thanos. Lots of character development. Steppenwolf gets nothing really.

Recutting the movie won't fix those issues

Yeah, the initial phase of the DCEU was flawed from conception. I'd love a consistent series of fun DC movies, so I hope they can right the ship. But the Snyder Cut is an ill considered millstone for the whole project.

I think Honest Trailers even mentioned that BvS could have been split into several (better) movies.

I am interested in seeing where they take this serialized story about Beth-Kate-Safyiah. Last WB show I watched where they changed leads between seasons 1 and 2 was Babylon 5 and Batwoman's already spent more air time talking about Kate being gone than B5 did with Sinclair.

Vanity Fair's in depth article on Zack Synder's Justice League. I think this might have moved my needle over to "Watch."

So he refused to get rid of his Jesus complex. Cesar Romero refused to get rid of his moustache and everything turned out okay!
