Old 80s Looney toones "movie" help me find it

My 5 year old son, has recently discored Looney Toons. Since then I am trying to find one OLD (proably 80s since that is when I saw it) movie of them. If my memory serves me well this is what I remember of that "movie"

1. I am 90% sure it was a BETAMAX not a VHS tape
2. The box was carton, black and it opened like a book. (like the current video games boxes) And it was BIGGER
3. The move itself, I THINK IT WAS a compilation of sorts.

What i recall was:

4. Daffy Duck screaming "Doc Roggers and the 24th and a half century"
5. The Martian dude... was on this weird spade place with red roads etc... then somone (cant recall who) with some "seeds" placed on the ground that once watered grew as some chicken like humanoids....

Hope this vague info helps.
I want to find this movie.

That would likely be “The Bugs Bunny Roadrunner Movie”, released in 1979. It has two or 3 Duck Dodgers segments and was released on Betamax.

The thing is that most of those VHS and Betamax collections that were released in the 80's were big collections of the shorts, rather than feature length films. I had quite a few on VHS that were all lost, so I went looking for replacements.

The good news is that there's a lot of great Looney Tunes out there right now, including a large collection of them on HBO Max. If you go digging, you'll likely find the individual shorts you're looking for in that HBO Max set. If not, I can heartily recommend the "Golden Collection" on DVD, or the newer "Platinum Collection" on BluRay. Every single short I ever remembered and cherished was in that Golden set, including multiple Duck Dodgers shorts.

That "Martian dude", BTW, is named "Marvin the Martian" and the specific thing you're thinking of there was the "Instant Martian" creatures that sprung from the ground when watered. Having said that, I have no idea which particular short they were in, but I distinctly remember those scenes.

The two shorts described in the first post are 1953's "Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2th Century and 1958's Hare-Way to the Stars. I think the tape in question likely was a compilation rather than a film that blends new cartoons with snippets of old shorts a la Daffy Duck's Quackbusters.

Both of those are in the compilation I named, Rat Boy, near the beginning.

It’s $3 on Youtube, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc. Except $4 on iTunes.

I think you MIGHT be right... looking into what you just mentioned on Amazon.

Stay tuned!

They had a few of those types of movies. I think Daffy Ducks Quackbusters and Bugs Bunny 1001 Rabbit Tales were two others.

I think we had the same one taped off TV when I was a kid and wore it out. I LOVED the Duck Dodgers bits. I think it has "What's Opera, Doc?" which is a masterpiece and a half.

I saw the Delaware Symphony Orchestra do a click-track show where they performed the music under a bunch of old Warner Brothers cartoons and it was magnificent.

I AM SO HAPPY.... I AM WATCHING IS NOW... THE MEMORIES

I had forgotten about the bull sharpening its hors etc...

THANK YOU THANK YOU

Oh good, this one has an answer! I hate when we can't find it for ya!

Now I want to track down Quackbusters just for the opening where Mel Torme provides Daffy's singing voice.

Watch out for some of those Loony Toons collections. A family friend gave me one of shorts from the 40s that made me uncomfortable and confused at the time, and now I know it's because they were horrifically racist.

The consequences schmonsequences one is called Ali Baba Bunny

Apparently, HBO Max has every single looney toons short. The originals are much better than the more modern remakes.
