Don't feel bad at all about wanting to do a complete tear down and rebuild. It's inevitable. Last time I was playing actively, I was up to about four or five complete rebuilds. One of those involved moving my entire operation way across the map so I'd have easier access to some resources. So many trips with truckloads of materials. Now I've got a setup that's relatively modular, but not big enough that I can produce everything at once, so I wind up doing minor reconfigurations based on whatever end product I'm trying to produce at the moment.
Then doing the inevitable "oh crap, I'm over the power limit again. Is that because I need more generators, or because I've got a bottleneck on my existing ones?" thing. I really should get back into this game.

Is there a limit to the power one power pole can distribute?
Asking because my strategy right now is to funnel all my generators (still biofuel ATM) to one power pole. Then connect that one power pole to another power pole, which all my power demanders get attached to. Currently drawing 70 KW with 100 KW capacity.
No I don't think so. Just how many hook ups a pole can have.
help. me.
Looks perfectly normal to me.
Last time I played I was working on streamlining all of my components into a central factory:
And no matter how many I build, I never get tired of contained factories encased in glass:
Waiting for the next patch before I dive back in. Think I stopped at tier 5 or 6, can’t remember.
Looks horrible to me.
Because it appears to be organized in some way. Unlike anything I ever did in that game.

In the update 4 preview video, Coffee Stain said that any thing nuclear will change and anything with super computers and turbo motors or above will change. Oil refining should be safe.
I'm weird and will probably start over from scratch. I just love this game so much I actually look forward to starting over.
I'm trying to figure out how I want to reorganize this mess. Do I still want map long treadmills or do I want to set up a train network.
Trains are fun as hell.

That how I was with Factorio. Used conveyor belts for the longest time but, to echo r013nt0, trains are fun - so I'll be using them when I get that far.

Yeah, I think that's the route I am going to go.
What am I supposed to do with all these presents? I researched the 1st node, but I can't find the candy canes or ornaments.
I have dreamed about this game for the last two nights. This is all my son and I can talk about rn. Currently working on modular storage bus designs. How the hell does this game even exist? We talked about the math for efficiency in designs for an hour. FOR AN HOUR. WHAT IS HAPPENING?
help. me.
This is a roller coaster right? I'd pay to ride
My first attempt at a structure. Do not look inside.

I love this setup and will be shamelessly stealing it in the near future!
Re: trains vs long conveyors, I generally try to do long conveyors within a biome and trains in between biomes.
My strategy for trains is to over do the imput and use the train itself as the rate limiter, rather than try to perfectly balance input to train capacity.
I’d love to sit here and tell you that they were all my builds, but the truth is I learned everything by watching this dude:
He has step by step guides for a variety of different factories, all outputting at 100% efficiency. I think he is a graphic designer by trade, which definitely shows in his builds. I would encourage anyone who is into the game to check him out.

Yeah I’ve watched and copied his stuff too. I was going to recommend that channel too.
Having a flight mod is a game changer. I'm trying to only use it when building, but it's hard.

Wow that's top notch design there.
Finally got my modular depot/factory online. have the production line feeding back underneath to the storage layer. Every level of the stacked lines is a different product.

All this just to get a hazmat suit.
The coffee is a nice touch.

If EverythingsTentative is anything like me, the coffee is practically a requirement - RL or virtual.
(...and yes, I’ve been waiting for someone to give me an excuse to use that.)
Couldn't focus without it.
I LOLed. Twice.
I’ve created intricate factories that produce all kinds of wondrous gizmos. I’ve built conveyor high-ways as far as the eye can see. Yet after all of this, I still haven’t made a single cup of coffee. I need to get my priority straight next time I play.
I just got nuclear up and running. Just in time for the patch to break it. But what am I supposed to do with all the nuclear waste?

All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain....
